Yes, the order in cost was Mahogany, Teak and Oak with Oak the least. You wouldn't buy oak to take to a hot climate such as India but mahogany or teak which was better suited to the conditions.

The compartment to the other side of the writing slope is plain with only 1 secret drawer to the chest.
