There was a kit I bought , it is an aluminum plate that re mounts everything on that side of the engine. Forgot the name of the company, but it is a kit.
What size tires are those and any specs on the wheels. Want to so the aame kinda setup to run stock caps and a little wider wheel then the chevy 6.5.... would like to be around a36-37 but skinny mud tire for my 77. Truck is on 4 inch of lift and 39 boogers and h1’s now and i want something more highway friendly and classic looking. Thanks for any info!
Any issues with spacing to the firewall or trans tunnel? I know I can use dodge 1st gen mound and drill a hole in the stock 84 Chevy mount plate, but heard there was an issue with clearances unless you used a body lift (not using one). Planned on making my mounts to keep the motor low and fabricating my engine cradle. Good vid
Hey man I’m working on trying to put nv4500 tranny in my 12v squarebody. I was wondering if you could post a video describing what you have to do to get it in there. It would help me out a ton thanks.
Nice clutch peddle I want to do this to my 1984 chevy c30 do you think I could pair it up to a 4 speed? The in it Oldsmobile engine has a rod knock. And how much did this convertion run you?
I really dont know how much I have into it but I did buy alot of new parts, the nice thing about the 5 speed is it was already for a hydraulic clutch, i dont think you could do this style pedal unless it was originally hydraulic
Was a suspension or body lift needed or could the swap be done and keep the stock ride height? I have the same vintage truck. My wife is short and would have a hard time getting in if i lifted my truck.
There was no lift needed, just some trimming and metal work to fit the floor and firewall over the bell housing , I actually want to take some lift out of the pickup to make it haul the gooseneck better, but the hd 4 inch lift front springs worked good because it dropped 2 inches when the heavy engine was put in, I would say you for sure want at least helper springs in front
@@zekeoutdoors Thanks for responding. Good point on the extra weight over the Big Block Chevy engine. Every Cummins swap I've seen had had a serious lift be done. Thanks again for responding Rusty. I'll be following your continued work on the truck! Dan
Front and rear end are Chevy, has Dana 60 front and the transfer case is a chevy 205 tranfercase, the only thing needed to make work was an adapter for the dodge nv4500 transmission and the chevy np205 tc, then make new drive shaft
Hi this is Shane from Hawaii I watch your UA-cam video I'm building a 1990 chevy crew cab with a 1996 12 valve Cummings and a NV 45 transmission..need some help and good tips
Cessily Vlogs the motor mou ts and cross member I bought on ebay, so engine bolted right up, the floor will need some fab to fit where the tranny meats floor, I say spend the money and relocate the a.c. pump, do not cut the frame,
Cessily Vlogs going to be harder for u on that island, I went to alot of salvage yards, i suggest you find a mainland yard and contact them, tell them what your doing and get parts. things like pedals. also for sure put intercooler in between grill and radiator sapport, you will want an inyercooler,
@@zekeoutdoors You think I'm joking? How much do you want for it? The only thing I dont like is the stacks, mirrors ( I like the old school rectangle stainless steel frame) and the interior but I plan on redoing them.
@@zekeoutdoors Well I could give a figure but it would either be way to low or way to high not knowing/seeing more about the truck and discovering those flaws of which you speak. But I am interested enough to see what kind of deal we could make. If you want I can give you my email. If you reply yes at some point I'll post my email at 7pm which is 2 hours and 15 minutes away from now
Sweet rig
It's... Beautiful.

BolteBuilt had to fab up to clear the bell housing but other than that there is no body lift and clears fine
The factory replacement carpet fits with the mods just fine

Wicked build!!
Yes I chew gum loud, but at least I'm not a Democrat

What all did you have to change for the 4wd? Dodge transfer case and front end?

I have a 73 and a 3rd Gen Cummins that’s waiting for me to get them put together.
Kau.. Nag!!?? Gyt
With merica on the front seat..... freedom..... oh nice rig too, I plan on doing a dually the same way.
Nice truck! How does it ride compared to what was in it before?
Tony Vickers before has a 350, and th350, it really cruises now, once the boost kicks in it throws ya back better than the 350
Be nice to not listen to smacking of the gum
What gauges did you use, I have one like your but it's a dually. I like the gauges you used
Tanner Balkcom speed hut off ebay, ez to imstall

I need a set of seats for my 84 chevy it had musty old gross ford seats in it I ripped them out now I need some seats for it
Damn near tripled the mileage haha

Jesse Gheen np205 gm with an aluminum adapter
rusty shacklfurd yeah I have a 205 and all the adapters I’ve found were expensive and what brand is your adapter by chance
What brand adapter did you end up using for the nv4500 to np 205?
Nice truck man! Next video, don't chew gum and talk hahahaha
Dan Ciccone that's just how I talk, I know it sux
