- A rare siting Wide Boyz go head to head in 'boulder problem off'. Pete Whittaker and Tom Randall set each other a boulder problem, points are awarded for climbing your own boulder problem and your partners boulder problem.
Tom's boulder consists of crack, inverts and items resembling choss.
Pete's problem consists of dyno stacks, jumps and quarryman groove style corners. Leave a comment with who you want to see next in the 'Boulder Off'

I wonder if comp-style time limit (e.g. 4 minutes) might end up more fun than limiting the attempts. Tom's first two attempts were so quick!

This was great, loads of fun to watch!! Wouldn’t have minded seeing Tom finishing Petes problem, even once he’s lost the chance for any point
I feel like setting the problem gives an advantage and so it should be 3,2,1 points and working the other person's problem should be 4,3,2,1 points.
And as a future idea. Maybe a game of "delete". (Start with problem X. Should be easy with lots of holds. Tom removes a hold and both climb, than Pete removes a hold and both climb. Repeat until one or both fail to climb the route. One redo.)
Didn't see the crack school episode about what to do when some joker puts their crocs in your climb :')

Pete did the first dyno with all the innate grace of falling timber - but it worked out. Great fun :-)

The only possible improvement, is to have those score poses at the end repeatedly alternate between 2 frames/stills - proper 90's style not-animation.
I thought Tom's problem was completely ridiculous and then Pete somehow made something even more dastardly

I think a czech style Head to Head would be interesting, so Pete and Tom would both have to find a partner to do/create a problem with.
when I first read "czech style head to head", I was imagining a double head jam... which would be hilarious with almost anyone... and even better with Tom&Pete

A jammed crack😮 is that a real thing or just a special Wide Boyz' malevolence😎😜? Both boulders were quite unique, great effort, both of you💪. I'd like to see Tom's given a chance to get even.

I liked how the intro voice over and music started quite abruptly as soon as I clicked play. It added to the frantic and time constrained nature of the video.

@@terraflow__bryanburdo4547 Anton Fomenko - one of Magnus' "American Ninja Warrior" buddies - did a course involving lasers and a "shock watch". That might be another fun way of bringing up something new.

Pete made his peace and thereby released himself from a prison of hate and resentment. The 12 years of imprisonment was a grave injustice towards a good human being. May his legacy live on for his family. Thank you Mike for paying tribute to Pete in such a respectful way.

Yes!! My favorite climbing video ever was the one where Magnus and Pete set problems for each other. It’s such a good concept. Glad to see another video like it. Love route setting videos.

I love that bouldering is a competitive sport but it has evolved in a way that effort is so honorable that even when Pete is crushing Tom's problem Tom offers nothing but encouragement.

Love the competition format, but something weird was going on in this video with the frame rate, not sure if it was a camera settings issue, post, or compression but the frame rate seemed low. Did anyone else experience this?
