I left Sunday for vacation and as my family was putting luggage in their vehicle ATL notified us at 5:30 am that our flight was canceled to Miami Sunday morning my daughter told us not to remove the luggage so we drove here I can happy to say that thank GOD we made it here safely I am now sailing on the Royal Caribbean.
Just like disabling the EBT cards in downtown Atlanta 10 years ago. They were actually testing the reaction of a particular gender of a particular group of people. It's just another psy-op.

My Thursday morning, one way flight to Orlando got cancelled as I was arriving to the airport. This vacation was for my 9 and 8 year old to Universal Studio/Disney so I had to get there! The only other option was to catch a detour flight to Baltimore and wait 4/5 hrs to catch a flight from BWI to Orlando. I’ve never witnessed a nightmare like what was to follow once I got to BWI. I arrived at BWI at 9:00am. Our flight to Orlando was supposed to leave at 3:3pm. They had a different excuse every hr to why we haven’t taken off yet. End up having to spend the night at a hotel and return the next day at 12:00 noon and leave. Missed a day and a half from my vacation. Frontier smh
The outage was due to a patch that was sent out from a company called Crowd Strike. Crowd Strike is the worlds largest cyber security firm they are used by many computers that have their software installed. The patch was sent out via Microsoft update as does hundreds of other vendors with thousands of updates. The patch crashed windows and quickly a new patch released but not all machines was able to get the patch due to them being shut down. ALL MICROSOFT WINDOWS SYSTEMS WHERE NOT AFFECTED only those that have crowd strike software installed. The failure was on Crowdstrike and most likely due to poor testing or procedure on their part combined with a Microsoft system that deploys out patches in a way no company with any decent engineers would have or do. These update that have issues happen more then you think they just are not as wide spread as this was.
I still find it interesting that this conviently happened the day after the final night of the RNC. Most computer security patches (especially ones for Microsoft) are pushed on Tuesdays. The outtage shifted the media & public's attention away from Thursday night's festivities & onto the outtage. This eventually made it easier to get folks to stop focusing on the RNC & immediately concentrate on Biden & the Democrats as soon as that news dropped. I'm not sayin'... I'm just sayin'.🤷🏾♂️
Yes but, I find it odd that this happened after Microsoft announced that they're dropping the D.E.I. program because it was financially costly andva headache to deal with. This will spark other companies to follow suit.
Anton im a shuttle bus driver at LAX for one of the largest rental car companies..ive dropped 2 people off at frontier my entire 1.5 years working there 😳..i also was at work during the time this happened..I didn't notice it because we were so busy
if it was a bad update, it is a good window of opportunity for hackers to attack during the time crowdstrike was down. snowflake happened the same time, everyone's personal info was leaked
I was at the Asheville NC airport on Friday when the flights were grounded. Leased an Audi sports car and cruised through the mountains to DC like it was nothin’.
Seems to me these big companies should have backup systems of equal resilience but on a different software/hardware platform. It's not like they don't have the money to do it. At my house we primarily use MacBooks but we have Windows PCs as a backup.
This is what people get! People today run the streets too much because they are miserable and if they ever stop for a moment. They would realize it! They do not like themselves, families, children, spouses, friends, etc. They go, go, go and keep there phones in their hand all day long. It is sad! I intentionally keep my schedule empty so that I could fill it up with what I want and need at that moment. I live my life in real time! It is beautiful!!! This entire world could crash and I would not care at all. Just like I did not care about this one.
I flown on frontier from LAX to Dallas, it’s a horrible airline and that was only a 3hr flight. Plus, you have to pay extra for bagged. Delta, Emirate and Qatar are my favorite airlines

I work at TSA and all weekend was hell on earth. We did our best but nobody could’ve prepped for this.
