2021 was really a banger year for the beatbox. If GBB21 had been smoother then it would have been the greatest beatbox year yet.
2021 was the best year in the beatbox community in terms of beatboxing. Not in terms of other stuff

@@qsharpbunch of great wildcards, and with no irl gbb 2020 it was alot of hype. They combined 2020 with 2021 wildcards making it the biggest gbb yet. They just didnt really execute/plan it well.

Codfish honestly inspired me to learn lip rolls and inwards with his tone change and his beat drops. Been watching his xbox videos too since the beginning and its always been so amazing to watch his journey and his vocals just kept on getting even stronger and crazier!
I mean that mediocre singing has me perplexed lol.. why xD.. his singing isn't really that good at all..

Something about Stitch's wildcard just hit different. It's a prime example of "less is more". I'm not sure what it is but the overall flow of the routine fits perfectly.

2021 was so tough year
Only 3 wildcards from 2021 made it here and it was Den, stitch and Gene, and they put Den above Stitch's, and in the oficial rankings he ranked #10 and didn't make it....I am very confused💀🤣

This was based on viewer votes, not official judging, that’s why it doesn’t line up with how they rated at the time.

@@ItsArch._. He did, but I think what the original commenter is referring to is that Den didn't originally "win" a wildcard, in terms of making it into a spot that moves on. He only got to go because others dropped out (which I'm grateful for, because I love Den).
2021 was an insane year for wildcards. So many that weren't included from that year were also nuts. Max's wildcard just hits different though.

Finally Den wildcard gets the recognition it deserves.
Tha song venom will always be my top favorite, he fills in so many spots with unique noises. Its insane how people can do that but on the other hand we got codfish w that fire bender song that can top alot of songs. Much love to these people who try hard in making something interesting

Now make top 10 of the most underrated wildcards, I'll start, Zekka - Silence for GBB 2018, still can't believe that didn't get in
Discarding the already well known wildcards, where the only one here i still feel something, is Gene's wildcard (probably my favorite wildcard of all time, but i must say i was missing his 2015's Jigsaw here btw), big up to the Slizzer induction, Slizzer is such a legend that always deserves recognition to how original and great sounding his style is till this day. That 2017 routine is amazing, full of authentic details and filled with personality.

Don’t get me wrong 2023 GBB is full of talent but GBB 21 just hits different, so much structure and flow and melodic parts.. nowadays it seems like judges choose whoever can make a conglomerate of noises in their mouth and call it a “beat”
