Thank You so much for that info ! ! ! I have puzzled over this for about 2 or 3 seasons and never could see any activity around those cars when they were in town. Your answer makes perfect sense ! ! !
Wow, that was a smoothly dope video I never have seen a circus train so lengthy!!! When I was a kid in the late 80's my father took me to San Diego and I remember we went to a railroad track to watch for trains and they had some several Barnum & Bailey circus train cars parked on an off track switch line in that general area. Near them was a BIG PILE OF HORSE SHIT. So, as odd as this sounds, everytime I think of the Barnum & Bailey Circus in San Diego for over 20 years, I think of Horse Shit!
@drandall1776 Those are concessions cars. There are two of them. They carry all of the stuff that is sold at the if us. They carry the food sold (popcorn, cotton candy), and they also carry all of the merchandise/souvenirs sold at the circus (toys, lights, hats, etc.).
It's not very often you see a long freight train or even a long passenger/freight train going through San Diego. Or even going along the coast (San Clemente, Dana Point) & I-5.
@trainkids Well you might be right ......... perhaps that's what it was but the truth is perhaps despite the cloudiness on my part from what it was from these days - everytime I think of Barnum & Bailey Circus in San Diego I think of a PILE OF SHIT. No pun intended but your Chargers are that equivalent to a pile of shit - they don't even show in the playoffs with the big season records they attain. Tell you what - the next Circus train that leaves San Diego - MAKE SURE THEY'RE ON IT!!!
great catches and video of this BNSF circus train in this town

Great train, wonderful Circus world 😸👌😍🚩🚩🚩
My goodness, that's a helluva long train.
Also, very grey. You'd think a circus train would be painted in bright colours.
That circus train is like home on wheels

how many cars long is that?
Any idea what the first 2 cars are for ?? I see no windows or doors. . .
@trainkids that's a long passenger train!
Sweet! My Mom would kill me if I missed school even for a steamer!
good stuff.
Looks like a logistical nightmare.
i wonder how is it to live in a train your whole life..
@SteamboatWilley Yeah, and giraffe heads sticking out of the cars, clowns juggling on the rooftops.
