Lovebites was my first introduction to japanese music and I love them ever since!
I thought I know all of their music, but I missed these 3 songs from the EP, so I need to hear those before I will see Lovebites live myself in June :D

This song is one of my top favorites among LOVEBITES' tracks.
The melody of the chorus, in particular, gives me a sense of nostalgia while also having an incredible driving force that elevates my spirits.
I can't help but deeply appreciate MIYAKO's boundless talent.
I haven't heard it live yet, but I hope they perform it at the Tokyo live concert in September.

This was my fav Lovebites song until "Soldier Stands Solitarily" came along. To me, "Dystopia Symphony" is a seamless and very innovative blend of prog/neoclassical metal/speed-power metal/and a bit of thrash thrown in. This track exemplifies the compositional & arrangement prowess of Miyako. She composed this song as a tribute to Beethoven when the maestro was coming to terms with his hearing loss. In this track, you can clearly hear the Beethoven motifs from the 3rd movement of "Piano Sonata No. 14 in C-Sharp Minor, Op. 27, No. 2" (aka "Moonlight Sonata") and "Piano Sonata No. 8 in C minor, Op. 13" (aka "Sonata Pathétique"). They haven't had the opportunity to play this track LIVE yet because of their hiatus and the pandemic, but I hope they will in their upcoming world tour.
I'm pretty sure there's some Edvard Grieg in there as well. The part at the 3 minute mark sounds a lot like "In The Hall Of The Mountain King" from the "Peer Gynt Suites".

🔥🔥 God Damn - This shows what happens when a 'real' classical composer creates 'Symphonic Metal'. Speaking as a musician and a songwriter, this is Spectacular.
Beethoven would be proud of Miako 😀 there is a lot in this tune. See them in Lindau soon 😃
I mean she just put moonlight sonata in there, nothing exceptional, I like better the odd time signature part they had, it was actually the more interesting part of the song, sadly it didn't last long
Great reaction. This is one of my favorite Lovebites. This piece is inspired by Beethoven Piano Grand Sonate Pathetique.

Excellent, This is one of their most hidden special secret gems, I love every second of the song. Hopefully one day someone can put together a concert with strings and classical style production and do this whole EP.
I fell bad for all the people who only know lovebites for their more popular videos and they have know idea how much treasure is left to discover.
This song is my favourite, not only from this EP. It's definitely my favourite from Lovebites. Happy tou finally listened to it.

My favorite from this album. Symphonic Progressive Metal to my ears. That middle “uneasy feeling” breakdown with the guitar solo is in 10/4 time signature in minor key. Lots of other classical references here too. Nice review thanks.

Nameless Warrior the last song with bassist Miho released on In the Beginning best of Lovebites 2017-2021 as a stand alone new single on the album.
when I looked up Lovebites on your channel I didn't see The whole albums of Awakening from the Abyss,Clockwork Immortality, Electric Pentagram albums and also (Not Counting Lovebites EP since all ended up on The Awakening from the Abyss with Bravehearted Transferred from the Japanese version to English Version) Battle of Damnation EP; and Golden Destination Single but may as well be an EP since it also has 4 songs.
Yes the reason for that is that I only started my channel a couple of years after I got into japanese music and Lovebites was actually my very first japanese band discovery.
So I already know and love everything else by them 😉🤘

I'm a big fan of Lovebites. I think their current album is the best. I'm not really sure why though. I can also recommend another female power metal band called Amaidantoudai [甘い断頭台] (which means "sweet guillotine"). Their newest MV is called Fumetsu no Hana (不滅の花). I also think you never reacted to Fate Gear? I just saw them live for the second time and they are amazing. Check out their songs Winds of Fall or Live in Blood, for example.
Yes I haven't done Fate Gear yet, I'm actually not sure if I heard their music before 🤔

Not necessarily the biggest fan of the "epic" sounding melodies overall, but the bass part before the solo was great and I liked the solos a lot as well. They reminded me a bit of some solos I heard by Symphony X, pretty progressive. I wish they were longer as the rest was ok, but a bit too standard power metal for me personally.
