Learning to honor the dishonorable is among the hardest things to do as a Christian. Honoring is not pulling back, but pulling back may be necessary if one perpetually stumbles in maintaining honor. Courage to engage and confront in love is the entire picture of honor. If believers lack the courage to confront the dishonorable among the Christian community, they will not have opportunity to train their heart attitudes while doing it. Yes, there is a time to walk away and refrain from protracting vain arguments. Shrinking back from engagements is not the answer.
