Beth, her lovely home AND the inclusion of more fabulously curated homes by people of color are all a delightful breath of fresh air!!! Thanks Homeworthy!!!!
Couldn’t agree more. Affordable and relatable to most of us ordinary folks who can’t afford vintage or lavish luxury interiors…also wonderful to see that this lovely’s home showcased
Kimberly newberry. I do hope you will find a way to deal with your low-self-esteem issues. Backhanded compliment has become such a thing. Good luck with it.
@Amandine Manddyna Kimberly Newberry is simply saying thank you for setting an example for people of color and showcasing her beautiful home. There are not many of "us" on Homeworthy. How is this an example of low self-esteem? By the look of your name, you may also be a person of color. We need to be lifting each other up, instead of putting each other down, even in small ways, unless it's constructive criticism (which is what I'm giving you) looks like you need to check your self-esteem from "down there".
Thank you for the "maximalist" view! I LOVE LOVE LOVE your home. Tired of folks trying to guilt me into being a minimalist. I LOVE art and I have lots of it. Your home is FABULOUS and so is your story.
Yes, agree! I’m loving the ‘maximalist’ idea and LOVE what she’s done with her home. For me, it’s books and artifacts/knickknacks. I live with my books. :-)
E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G is so purposeful and pleasing, sculptural, soft, textured, every vignette, every pattern, every color!! THE ART, the placement, the friggin TILE in the powder room!! I squealed with glee when I saw she did a jewel box powder room. This home is the designer. I would love to see all her work any time and have her speak on it. the finesse is there, too. WOW.
I really love Beth Diana Smith’s home and artwork. It’s calm but colorful and welcoming. Plus it’s so exciting whenever designers of color or homes belonging to people of color are featured! Bravo, Homeworthy!
Congratulations on changing your career and following your heart. Your home is beautiful. Proud to see a woman of color show her home and unique style. Please show more.❤
BREATHTAKING!!!! When Beth opened the bathroom door, I was through! She thought of everything. The art, the tea kettle collection, the colors....I need Beth to fix my house!
The art in her home is amazing. Also, because I love teacups, she immediately drew me in with the cups and the pots. Love her style. It's incredibly personal and soul-felt.
Yesz she has encouraged me to go back and get a few cups and saucers from a relative that offered them to me yesterday. My grandbaby & I can have tea parties as we chat about her bright future❤
This is my soul sister!! I love her and her unique style....and I'm a white girl in Florida...loving the bold colors and textures. My house is very much like this- vibrant, bohemian, tropical and maximalist. Thank you for featuring her!
Finally: a woman after my own heart. This may be the first Homeworthy I've seen where most if not all of the art is figurative/portrait. If I want to see a landscape, I'll look out the window. So I loved Beth's art tour and the stories behind the acquisitions. There's nothing like these pieces to bring a room/home to life. Also, Beth's combo of creative with business/accounting expertise is a powerful one for a design professional, rare in a world that usually separates the two.
There's been a trend in the UK for grey (so boring) and it's so refreshing to see someone who doesn't follow fashion fads but had her home exactly the way she wants it. Simply stunning. I was just about to write how nice it is that the householder is happy where they are and aren't planning to move - when Beth said she was thinking about moving! Such a terrible shame. With the exception of having some garden space (which I'm guessing she doesn't currently have), what's there to move for (don't do it, Beth!!!)? I'd be happy in this apartment for the rest of my days: literally wouldn't change a thing.
Greatly appreciate Beth sharing her mindset and priorities at the time of purchasing her home (eg: the future responsibility of taking care of her mother) and love how truly different her place looks and feels from the sea of home tours, evident by all her time, energy and focus on each & every decision she made.
I also love Sheila Bridges’ Harlem Toile. I have a pair of slippers in her Yellow Harlem Toile. Sheila was the first Black interior designer I became aware of when she was on HGTV, when HGTV was still really fun to watch. Her and Candace Olson were my faves back in the day.
WOW She has the BEST taste and style ever!!!! I LOVED her place and I'm very hard to please when it comes to interior design. It's usually either too plain or too colorful or too vintage or too modern... She somehow reached the perfect balance and warmth! 😍
I love the essence of her home. It reminds me of a home as children with the soft lighting, all the pictures, and the decor in in close proximity, reminds me of home and family. I grew up in Cleveland, Oh where the homes were smaller and my mom had a lot of decor but it made us feel warm and safe. This is definitely home❤❤❤
Wow! A Magnificent Achievement! This home is so beautiful! And unique. What really matter to me is the stories. The mixtures of color's and shape's is breathtaking. This home start endless conversation's. I can't get enough of admiring the beauty. Thanks for sharing 👍❤😊
What a wonderful tour and such a curated home. I love her art and the gallery wall is so interesting with all the different pieces. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us.
I love how the rooms were all light and bright but with loads of color, and then you get to the bedroom and you are just enveloped in the sage green. Beautiful space.
I love how it’s showcasing Maximalism and allowing people to see it’s not a cluttered design style everything is curated to serve a purpose and she showcases culture and uniqueness beautifully
She has such a lovely and warm personality with beautiful pieces in her home. I felt that the sculptures and decor items could have had a bit more breathing space to fully appreciate them.
Beth is beautiful, and so is her home. Very tasteful maximalism♥️ Love how she found her way to interior design. Also love how she considers her guests’ experience in her space. She’s obviously a talented designer, and I bet she’s a great friend as well.
I love unexpected things. Absolutely love the basket with liquor in it. Such a small thing but the basket softens just liquor sitting out. Love it. Love so much about Beth’s space.
I’m a Jersey Girl (60+) from Essex County, Accounting Degree / career & a love for organizing. You lived the dream by taking it to the next level and going to interior design school! I just want to know where you bought of your items??!! Kitchen ware etc. oh, and I had a purple couch too for years! I have similar organic/ Ethnic eclectic taste, but your home is awesome!!
Love your decor and that you are a maximalist. Your choice of colors and textures is something I also would do. You have a beautiful home. Thank you for sharing it.
This is the style I think I'm accomplishing but failing miserably at! I love everything about this house and the art is next level! Thanks for showcasing!!
I love everything, especially your art pieces. I totally agree with the comment of seeing more designers of color. Thanks for shining the light on them Homeworthy.
Hi Beth💐breath taking and fulfillment to my eyes. The art is stunningly gorgeous. I always wanted to see my dream. I know now all things are possible. This is mind blowing. Your personality matches your home. Your bless and so gifted in what you do. I am honored to be a part of your tour. Blessings be unto you🙏💛🌻🦋
Your style is through the roof, gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. Your home is beautiful, your clothes, your hair, the history and backstory you give is very interesting as well, everything about you and your items are lovely, always keep shining ❤️💜🤗😇😉🙏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💃🏽🥰👍🏽✊🏽😄😀
I enjoyed this homeowner and her design and stories behind her amazing home and art work so much that I subscribed!!! Would love to see more of her work!
The maximalist style is so warm, cozy, and AWESOME! I'm going that route but with a lot of antique/vintage mixed with modern. Her home is beautiful just like she is!
Finally, someone whose taste I can relate!!!! I too have a "maxi/boho" vibe home and goodness my walls are filled with unconventional pieces. Yes yes velvet is the BOMB. Thank you so much for inviting us into your lovely home. Cheers
Wow! This home tour is exceptional! I love the many unique pieces that I've never seen before! The stair wallpaper is just divine! There is so much freedom and joy in this home! Thanks for the invitation to expand how you design your home! 💖💖💝💛💝
Wow. I always liked home decor. Today I realized that I tend to purchase items on the small scale making it a pain to keep everything clean and clutter free. I'm definitely changing my style to something easier to manage at my age. For some reason it never made sense until today, thanks HW for having such an amazing artist.
Absolutely stunning! I love everything about this home- the jewel toned area rugs, the afrocentric artwork, rich looking walls.... And the bedroom is exquisite. 💝💖🏡🖼🤗
I love love your beautiful colorful home. It's warm, fun, has the most amazing and unique art, it's eclectic, full beautiful blac art. Vases and lightings that are stunning & unique. Lovely textures every where from the walls to the rugs. You are an amazing interior designer. I really enjoyed this video. 💜🩵💙💚👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿🤗
Heyyyy !!!! I live in Bermuda … So glad you came to visit us and took something with you to cherish. I am a lover of all things art so I am ecstatic to see all the color and pattern in your home. So beautiful!
Love the tour and history of this beautiful, cozy home. I especially enjoyed the history behind all of the decor and furniture pieces. I too have lots of black art and love telling the story behind each painting. . Her home seems to reflect the beauty and calmness of her personality. Thanks again for sharing.
Beautiful! Your home has such a calm vibe to it. Well balanced and inviting. Your home seems to really ground you. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. Blessings upon Blessings!!

Def a touchy thing to say. Im going to give her the benefit of the doubr but it is exposing a them and us feeling.

The powder room got me too!❤the textured walls and the huge image sculpture in the living are my favs!
@@MJ-hd7nr OMG I wish I could sneak and do a little walk-thru peek to see it all in person. :)
I want to see More of her amazing work. I love it.
I really love Beth Diana Smith’s home and artwork. It’s calm but colorful and welcoming. Plus it’s so exciting whenever designers of color or homes belonging to people of color are featured! Bravo, Homeworthy!

Beth is such good peoples and her home is amazing. Thank you for the shout-out appreciate you Sis!🫶🏽
I am not a maximalist by any means but I looooved this house! So intentional and HOME.
Love her vibe. So happy she followed her heart as a designer.
BREATHTAKING!!!! When Beth opened the bathroom door, I was through! She thought of everything. The art, the tea kettle collection, the colors....I need Beth to fix my house!
I love how her home decor is a true reflection of her style and personality. ❤

Her home is absolutely beautiful. Every room, every wall, every piece of art...I love it all. An entire work of art.

As a minimalist I always seem to love maximalist home tours. Her bedroom is gorgeous.
What a lovely home, maximalism done right makes being in a room feel effortless and welcoming and this is exactly what Beth has done with her house!
There's been a trend in the UK for grey (so boring) and it's so refreshing to see someone who doesn't follow fashion fads but had her home exactly the way she wants it. Simply stunning. I absolutely adore that photograph of the woman smoking the cigar. Wow 🤩
Love Love Love your style ...and the ART WORK everywhere. I'd feel so inspired living there. Thanks for sharing your home.
What a beautiful space and story; I love her taste! Loved this episode plenty!😊
Greatly appreciate Beth sharing her mindset and priorities at the time of purchasing her home (eg: the future responsibility of taking care of her mother) and love how truly different her place looks and feels from the sea of home tours, evident by all her time, energy and focus on each & every decision she made.
The art, the color, the vibe all are lovely.
I heard of Sheila Bridges from Traditional Home, and she was featured quite a bit. Her style is simply outstanding.
WOW She has the BEST taste and style ever!!!! I LOVED her place and I'm very hard to please when it comes to interior design. It's usually either too plain or too colorful or too vintage or too modern... She somehow reached the perfect balance and warmth! 😍
The art piece in the bedroom w/ the woman with the golden butterflies is another MUST HAVE!!! ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!
Super lovely person and to have achieved unique sense of herself in her home without throwing endless pots of money at it. Loved it. 👏👏
I love that she's African American with such beautiful style please show more of these if possible
Wow what a charismatic and super-cool woman , I love her space with surprises in every corner , and the mix of all styles 💞✨
I’m a minimalist, but I like her home. It appears to be warm and inviting…thanks for sharing.
Beth Diana Smith has a lovely home. IT is beautiful- all the colors meld well together and it does not look crowded for a maximalist home.
You are very talented. I'm in awe of all the mix of shapes that work so well together.
Her home looks like jazz sounds. Love her unique style.

Omg that Harlem Toile is AMAZING!!! It gives historic traditional vibes, but subverts it with modern and inclusive depictions!!!
I love how the rooms were all light and bright but with loads of color, and then you get to the bedroom and you are just enveloped in the sage green. Beautiful space.
