I tried to fit 4 tb wd sn850x but it has chips on both top and bottom so the bottom chip was pressing on a chip from the motherboard and it would literally bend when i put the screw back.
I heard that samsung 4 tb does not have chip sticking out on the bottom though, right?
I put this in a Tuf Dash F15 it ran great but the laptop bottom eventually cracked because the heatsink was pressing against it.
I fixed the crack and put the non-heatsink stick in. Both ran great. One fits properly.

The preinstalled heatsinks are usually better than motherboard heatsink plates

@@huskyuu It's Samsung, it's 4TB, has a heatsink, the best Gen4 on the market. I think the price is high when you take in consideration the amount, but for this type of product, the price is ok.

you can just get the model without a heat sink and use a normal m.2 enclosure

So i just installed this into my laptop and its not showing in my storage...
Control Panel > Device Management > Disk Management > it will automatically recognise the SSD > create volume under GPT > format and create partition 🤗

The newer Samsung 990 Pro with the heatsink looks ugly! Corsair MP 600 Pro LPX looks way cooler..
It is a really good ssd, horrible design though. Also, in gaming category is not the best one, for that the WD black SN850x or Seagate FireCuda 530R are better. So use this one if you want to use it in your usual windows installation since is the best one for content creators and use the other ones for gaming.
What exactly is the difference between the ones you mentioned and this?
