    As a 49 year old east coast rider, I’ve never even seen a mountain sled. My must haves are 1 snow, 2 snow, 3 snow.

    Im a stock or walk guy for what we pay for new machines. Clutching I see more as fine tuning. I agree that shocks are nice but man thats a heck of an expense. I can say I was happy with the velocity shocks

    i feel like these are rich people must haves. Sure I'd love to have the money to spend on all these sled upgrades, but I unfortunately can only afford the sled (barely) and all the must have safety requirements. Avi equipment a good mono suit and a sled are my top 3 requirements. Getting picky I've been able to afford the Munster finger throttle and a can for a little weight loss for my 4 and 5 picks

    One thing I carry that you guys didn’t mention in your stay the night kit is a space blanket and tampons to dip in the oil jug to light a fire 🤘🏻

    Great list. I am the same with the Durapro tether hopping between my sled and and my sons in those spots. We have it down so good now we don't even have to restart or swap tethers, he pulls and I land mine and I move sled or go cool his off. Great addition!

    I have lost a canister to TSA, (I didn't know at the time) BUT You CAN fly with an empty canister by unscrewing the top and letting TSA look inside. Just need to make sure you can get it filled where you are going. West Yellowstone Adventures can fill them.

    Can you do a podcast or video on all the options you'd recommend for just getting into mountain riding as far as just what's in the backpack for safety and function? Maybe go through different kinds of backpacks, radios, shovels, beacons, and probes etc. There are literally hundreds of different versions, what exactly do you use and what you've seen that works well? I feel like everybody glosses over it because its so second nature to y'all.

    Question for you guy's about the Intake Kit and SLP Hot Air Elimination Kits ? Why don't you guy's run the vent's? Only reason why im asking is because I have just installed the stage 2 kit outlaw twins on my 21. Watching videos of others that has the kit doesn't really look like anybody is running the vent's. Any insight would be awesome!

    Can you please explain how high your bars should be. Everyone wants to go 4-5 inch risers, but I’m 6’7” and the shorter risers make me look like the hunchback of Norte Dame. Should my hands be at my hips, my waist, my belly button…?Appreciate the help.

    • @jacobboswell9325
      @jacobboswell9325 Рік тому

      I'm 6'7" as well and I rode with 6 inch risers for a season or two but now I have gone down to 4 inch risers, its makes a world of difference to ride with lower risers. Your back should be flat and your knees and hips should be bent and in a aggressive position. If you've ridden dirt bikes its very similar to the attack posture you ride with in motocross.
      You may have tall legs and short arms and that could mean you need higher risers than others but if you're mostly even proportion wise I think 4" risers are the way to go. I ride a cat also so the handlebar heights are a little different than other sleds.
      See if you can find a handlebar setup that's low enough to let you get into the correct riding position but not so low that you have to squat when you ride to keep your back flat.
      If I rode a poo with the stock bars I would run the mediums on them.
      I wouldn't know what to run on the ski-doo because of the laydown style.
      Hope this helps.

      I'm 6'7 and rode all last season with 3inch. Hurt my back all season, just put on a 5 inch cfr riser and it is 10x better

      @@ChrisBurandt It’s hard to find any good comparisons on all the new Avy bags. I guess if you are sponsored you kinda got to promote your brand. I do think Klim makes great stuff. I was just at their Headquarters in Rigby.
