Although the windows are cute in the apartments you should never compromise safety just so you're apartment looks like it's from Pinterest (not hate just my opinion)
As one who lives in KC, I’d stay where you feel safe. Living down town might seem cool but it’s not worth the constant worry of feeling unsafe. Totally jealous of the garage btw so hard to find in kc 😫
I would stay in your current unit or upgrade to one of the two bedrooms. It wouldn’t be worth moving just for aesthetic reasons. Your complex has a great set up and looks really home already. Plus safety is important and so is great management!
The apartment you’re living in now seems like the perfect space. Maybe just go to visit downtown more frequently or work there to satisfy your aesthetic needs.
If I were you I’d stay where you are, or upgrade to the 2 bedroom if you really need to. While those apartments are pretty, the one you have now is already beautiful and it seems much more convenient for your lifestyle. It’s fun to live in a city (I live in LA) but if you think the location would be more inconvenient for your lifestyle it’s not worth it. It just seems like you would be raising your rent a lot for not much more than you already have. You’re still young so you have lots of time to get that Pinterest apartment if your dreams when it makes more sense for you! Just my thoughts :) love your videos!
I would stay where you’re at. For your place to have almost no bad things wrong with it, that is SUPER rare, especially with management fixing anything you need. I’ve lived in a lot of tough situations because you tour and sign for a place that appears nice, then you have issues later that you didn’t think you would have like loud people constantly, management that won’t fix anything, no parking because people take your spots, those types of things. That’s just my personal experience, though. Make the decision you think will make YOU happy! But once you find a good place, I wouldn’t move until you have to!
Make the move! Downtown is where its at. I moved to LA a few years ago but personally keep considering moving back to KC cuz its definitely up and coming
Girl, forget pinterest windows. Stay where you are! And another thing, since when did it cost $2,000 dollars for just a one bedroom nationwide?! Like damn, that is just crazy!! And in the south?? Maybe if it was NY or SF, but it’s not. Man, prices of places just for RENTING is insane!! 🤦🏼♀️
As someone who lives in KC and also works as a first responder I would vote stay where you are! BUT if you do want to move I would say #3. I’ve lived in River Market before and I LOVED it. Also that specific apartment I can’t even recall the last time I took a 911 call for that complex.
I’m just finding random apartment videos because I considered finding a new one and have been touring. But my studio in St. Louis (the county suburbs) has too many positives to leave. The only con is that it’s going up into the $800s. It didn’t make sense for me to move because it’s so expensive to move with fees, new furniture, and rents in my area are pretty similar to what I pay anyway or higher. I’m 5 minutes from work and 20 minutes from downtown! I say if you’re in a great complex, don’t fix what’s not broken. Save up for a house and then you’ll have any aesthetic you wish!
Loved this video and seeing some downtown KC apartments! I’ve been considering moving downtown since that’s where I work, but I don’t want to give up the feeling of safety I have living in North KC.
I loved watching this, because I'm from Lawrence & have considered moving to KC. power & light district is my favorite in KC for giving that big city feel & I loveeee Cosentino's grocery store, but I agree, the apartment was small & overall dark.
Hi Emily Grace. My favorite was the last apartment. I think the homey feel, your own individual garage, the suburban quiet, the second bedroom to make an office/filming room are all wonderful. I would recommend the last one 😊💕
Hey Emily, I’m finally making the jump from FL to KC. Any advice? I’m a native of FL but need to get out. Lol I visited KC in April for the draft and fell in ❤. It felt like home.
Those prices are so good for the amount of rooms and square footage! Lol I need to move out of NY I would say stay in you complex and maybe upgrade to 2 bedrooms
Can I ask what apartment you are living in this video? If it’s not invasive of your privacy I actually really love your apt and wanted to look into it! Thank you in advance if your able to get back to me!
If the apartment your at now is grest low rent In most big cities you can’t get a nice place for what your paying at all Is stay there and save the extra money so you can buy a house in the future
If I were you I would change up to the two bedroom to divide up your spaces if you need an extra room/filming space!! Plus it seems super safe. I loved this video
Well I’m not as young as you I’m 62 but If I would get an apartment I wouldn’t want that many steps Even if I was your age I still would not want all those steps
I word of advice, which by the way has nothing to do with discrimination. I myself am of mixed race. Be very cautious with regards to who will be your neighbors. I am currently living near Indian computer engineering students. Ever since they moved in I have been having issues with my Wifi and computer network being hacked. Besides that, they like to save money and so they will fit about 4 people in a one bedroom apartment. Which causes excessive noise at all hours. Additionally they like having phone conversations outside which usually tends to be in front of other tenants apartments which can cause a disturbance. When they use the laundry room they leave the clothes in the machines over night and do not clean up after themselves once they are done. Additionally, They are not very clean in general. Once a cat must have taken a dump near their front door and they never cleaned it up. This attacted flies in my home. It was a mess.
Number 4! My Starbucks manager lives there and she loves it. We have parties there all the time. The building is beautiful and the people who live there are great. It’s defiantly a luxury building

Don't be fooled if the seem nice. I'd play it safe because when you sign a lease you are going to be stuck for a year.
You cannot hear my teeth grinding?? What.. & why would you feel the need to point out something like that!!! How would you like it if someone was pointing out every single small little thing you did .. I’m sure you have plenty of annoying things as well. That’s so incredibly rude & unnecessary
Hey girl! I currently live in Springfield and I'm looking to move to KC within the next year or so, and I've been trying to browse some apartments until then! Could I message you on instagram or something and get the name of the current apartment you lived in, in this video? I love the layout and the attached garage of this apartment!
Hello! ✨ I hope you all love this apartment hunting vlog! comment which apartment you would choose!! thumbs up + subscribe, thanks for watching !!
imo i wouldn’t move somewhere just because it’s aesthetic and pinteresty, i love where you’re at! seems safe and it’s still cute
Within the first 5 minutes, you listed every reason and made the case for why you should stay where you are.
Girl your apartment now looks better then these. And it can’t be beat having an attached garage.
Aaah thank you!! I do love my apartment 🥰🥰 (& my garage hahaha!)

which apartments did you actually look at? I’m moving into a KC apartment in May so i’m curious which ones you’re looking at

I was so not loving the vibe of Kansas City but I'm so so so happy for you ☺️
Thanks for giving us prices
I would definitely stay in the current apartment or upgrade to the 2 bedroom in the same apartment complex you are in!
Any chance you’ll be able to share the names of the complexes ? I moved to KC 8 months ago from Chicago and currently looking for a new complex
Loved this video and seeing some downtown KC apartments! I’ve been considering moving downtown since that’s where I work, but I don’t want to give up the feeling of safety I have living in North KC.
Downtown seems like a pain i the butt, have you tried plaza or crossroads ?
How can you live in a place and not open windows
I just toured the first and third building on this list. Loved them both for different reasons and am torn between the two.
I loved watching this, because I'm from Lawrence & have considered moving to KC. power & light district is my favorite in KC for giving that big city feel & I loveeee Cosentino's grocery store, but I agree, the apartment was small & overall dark.
omg my friend lived in that exact apt room in the grand!
i love the urban kc lofts, so cute
agree!! so cute!!! 🥺🙌🏼

The words “literally” and “like” wore me out! 😏
And aesthetic. Far over and misused.
I would stay where you’re at or keep hunting!!
Those prices are so good for the amount of rooms and square footage! Lol I need to move out of NY I would say stay in you complex and maybe upgrade to 2 bedrooms
I’m in KC and ready to move. Does anybody know where she stays now? I understand for safety..but I wish she’d hint where she lives now 😭
Johnson County Kansas is the best part of the city
Can I ask what apartment you are living in this video? If it’s not invasive of your privacy I actually really love your apt and wanted to look into it! Thank you in advance if your able to get back to me!
Emily does this city worth living ?
I love apartment videos! It gives me ideas for when I move out!!

Word of the day, aesthetic.
This is not what I imagined when I thought of Kansas lol I’m pleasantly surprised, also love the apartment you’re in !!
It’s actually Missouri!
So aesthetic
i would say just upgrade to the 2 bedrooms if anything
If I were you I would change up to the two bedroom to divide up your spaces if you need an extra room/filming space!! Plus it seems super safe. I loved this video
It's weird having so many windows but not being able to open any of em, that would be a deal breaker for me.
Like I’m in the Shawnee area but I’m moving to downtown so I’m glad I found someone from Kansas City
I’m from KC and I go to school there, I want to move downtown for a shorter commute so bad but the rent is expensive. 😭
thanks for this vid now I don’t have to leave my couch to do this 😉😅
For me I absolutely loved your vlogs and you are sweetheart and I'm obsessed with your intro and you are sweetheart
I would get the 2 bedroom in the same complex you are in! :)
If it were me, I'd just keep apt hunting 2 see all options out there.
I love your videos so much
Thank you 🤍🤍🥺
My mom lives in that city and I’m flying to go visit her and I thought to watch this
I would stay where you are !!
You didn't state what apartment was the one with no balcony... Otherwise great video
Well I’m not as young as you I’m 62 but If I would get an apartment I wouldn’t want that many steps Even if I was your age I still would not want all those steps
What’s the name of the current apartment?
I would stay where you’re at

Nothing more Murican than complaining about having to walk, to get to a car lol. Oh lord.
The reason while she was talking I could hear her teeth grinding

Those are to many steps
Kcmo is a such a crappy downtown glad I live in Johnson county Kansas
Johnson County KS is way better , JOCO already has a larger economy than all of Jackson county Mo, with a GDP of 45 Billion.
You have no vibe

Aesthetic. Aesthetic. Aesthetic 🤡
I love the windows, big bedroom, and two bathrooms. I don't like the closet or price tho.
