  • In this video, we will photograph historic and (some abandoned) buildings in the rural Central Texas farming community of Walburg, established in the 1880s by Germans, and still home to a thriving German restaurant.

    Hi, Keith and Teena.
This bank building is very beautiful and in good condition too.
A beautiful sky with very beautiful clouds too.
But that gray barn is also very beautiful and you can get a good photo out of it if you want.
What I find special about your photos is the faded text on the buildings. They give the photo a little bit extra. From a good photo to a special photo. I am always amazed that the power cables are still laid above the green in your rural areas. You no longer see this here in the Netherlands, but this is also the case in Belgium. That beer café certainly belonged to a German owner, judging by the texts on the facade. That truck is the hero of the show for me. What a beautiful thing that is. Another trip that can be ticked off and was very successful.
Thank you, Keith & Teena, I really enjoyed watching.
    Antoine.

Yes the power lines are my photography curse! Always in the shot too. They are put underground in a few limited areas here but typically all in plain view

That right angle corner style building facade is seen in my area as well. I always wondered about the origin of that style. If it's a German style that would make sense in this area of Pennsylvania. Interestingly, the bank had a pointed peak! I was hoping you were coming back to that very cool truck!! That side entrance to the bank looks very secure. Could it have been the means of delivery/removal of money that was more discreet? Better than going through the front door and any customers. Thanks for taking us along. Have a great weekend and Happy New Year!!
