  • In this video, we travel to Lynchburg, Tennessee to photograph an abandoned historic country store that is claimed to have been a Civil War-era muster point. While there, we also take advantage of the gloomy soft light to visit an old cemetery next door.

Hello, my friends from the USA.
A very interesting cemetery with some special gravestones.
You can clearly see what time has done to this cemetery.
The house is also very special.
You also took very nice pictures of it.
I just made one under the tree on the corner of the building.
The tree that grows firmly against the house.
And one from the front that you normally always have with you.
Another great video to watch, friend.
    Say hello, Teena.
I wish you all the best.
    Antoine.

Wow, what an amazing structure. It's hard to tell if the trees are supporting it or slowly taking it apart. Thanks for taking us along! Happy Easter!

Nice find Keith, likely the owner is in that graveyard somewhere along with many of his / her customers? Must be an old photo of that place laying in a drawer somewhere also lost to time.

I’m sure there are records in the local library or county courthouse that give more details! There are extensive Civil War records online but I couldn’t turn up anything. And sadly nothing on the National Register.

Another interesting video, Keith. That first building you featured...it would have been gone long ago if not for the trees propping it up. That is so cool the way that happens. Stay safe !

It is kinda sandwiched in between the trees like a brace! Thanks for watching George

Great video and photos! Makes you wonder how much longer that building will be standing.

Thanks Terry! I didn’t keep it in the video but there are places in the back that have big gaps. It’s lasted this long maybe it can go another 50 years if the trees or a tornado don’t get it

You have to check out a Lynchburg photographer named Joe Clark H.B.S.S (Hill Billy Snap Shooter) who published several books of Lynchburg and did a lot of promo shots for Jack Daniels.
