- We are assembling and testing out the Woodland Mills TF810 PRO PTO Wood Chipper. This wood chipper can handle branches up to 8 inches. The TF810 features twin flywheels with spinning speeds of 540 rpm and 1080 rpm. The TF810 worked great in our first test. We have a lot of branches and brush to clean up, so we will be using the TF810 wood chipper frequently.
That’s a nice chipper. That thing should chip up some stuff for you and Lori . And might be able to even chip up some of the cut off off the mill. And then get to use the chips for something. Thanks for sharing

Not sure what your old John Deere is, but usually the have two pto stubs there, they interchange and access a different gear in the tractor. The old 3020s and 4020s had a place above the pto to store the alternate pto.

@ssprofirewood that's a beefy tractor! It should barely notice that chipper back there. How's that tf810 doing for you still? I just ordered a WC88, supposed to be here today. I decided to go with the old proven design and save $1000. I like that they put the chute in at the bottom and angled it up on the 810, looks like gravity will help a lot with short stuff.
@matthewtaylor2185 The 810 is working pretty well. We had some issues with the in feed roller getting jammed. I called Woodland Mills, and they gave me some ideas for adjustments. I haven't been out to test it again, so I am hoping it helps. I hope the WWC88 works well for you.
@ssprofirewood I hope it works well for me, I have an old DR 18 horsepower one that I wrecked the flywheel on, I'm making a new one, but I need a chipper now, and more power is more better. I think the little DR is probably faster on some stuff. It takes branches like an old chuck and duck, and it will whip you if you're not careful. I always wished it just had some kind of brake to stop larger wood from choking it out. I don't plan to chip 8" wood, but the 8" infeed opening will allow more mangled branches in easier. My tractor is 37pto hp, so I'm on the low end of power, but I don't want to chip firewood!
I saw another review of the new 810 that didn't look favorable, I thought it looked like a lot moving parts and shied away from it. It looks like he has serious damage or a lemon of a chipper.
@@ssprofirewood I remember seeing old ads marketing the "new" farmall 806, suggesting that lighter jobs be done at half throttle to save fuel over a smaller tractor running at higher rpm. That 4620 has more than enough power, I wonder about running it at a little over half throttle with the 1000rpm pto.

I have had mine for a few weeks and cannot get the first step for the lower hitch arms to attach? the holes through the heavy plates do not line up? did you have this problem? I have followed customer services directions video to loosen bolts but does not work, I have tried several other of my own ideas but I have very expensive paper weight!
