Another great video! By the way, those prices look pretty good, especially since a Singapore dollar exchanges to about 0.75 USD. Restaurant prices are out of control here in the United States. I haven't eaten out in ages because of it-not much at all since the start of the pandemic, really. Are those prices good, or am I not understanding? I really have no idea what wages and the economy are like in Singapore.

Well, inflation is everywhere and the GST(Good & Services Tax) has also increased. Living expenses are more than previous years. A bowl of minced meat noodles or fishball noodle is about $4.50 to $5.50 for base price, though in older neighbourhoods there might be some stalls selling $3.50 to $4 as base price, but there are not many selling @ the latter prices. The hawkers themselves have higher rentals to pay, including gas, electricity, ingredients etc. For the CBD area(Central Business District), food centres and hawker centres would be relatively cheaper alternatives as compared to cafes, food courts and restaurant during lunch hours. Depending on which part of the CBD you are in, food centre prices do range differently. For example Lau Pa Sat is considered more expensive than Amoy Street Food Centre, although some might consider them about similar in pricing.
