I’ve heard pandan is the vanilla of Asia, which your comment on the chiffon cake reminded me of. When I had pandan, it was a little fruitier and lighter than vanilla to my taste (vanilla is very heavy and floral to me), but I can understand the comparison. Such a delicious flavor; I would love to try that cake one day!
pandan is legit so good. But sometimes it can be kinda a lil too sweet and strong for me. Thats why I usually get it in bubble tea form instead of baked goods
as a singaporean i keep mildly surprised by the way she pronounces words that i normally hear in a singaporean accent (not sure how to explain it lmao) but im glad you enjoyed the food here

next time you come to singapore i recommend checking out old airport road food centre or maxwell food centre!! they're more affordable and still have a wide selection of delicious food💖💖💖
Been loving your shorts for the longest time! So glad that you finally made it to my home country! You need to try ALL the local delicacies! Prata, fishball mee pok dry noodles, hainanese chicken rice, mee soto, mee rebus and soooo much more!!! Oh! And the best pandan chiffon cake -so soft, fluffy dense yet light-tasting and best pandan flavour- Bengawan Solo! They have all these yummy nyonya kuehs there too!!! 🤤🤤🤤
