  • This is our second visit to the shores of the Ottawa in this area. Klock was a thriving mill town way back in the early 20th century and late 19th century. See pastforward.ca... for some historical perspective. Music is our own, we hope you enjoy the overlooks. Sadly, nothing remains but the name now. It should be noted that there is a huge difference in elevation on the Quebec side compared to Ontario, the ground, double the elevation above sea level.

Nice aerial shots of an area I passed through on my upstream to Mattawa from Mackey. I was there in late September and the current was quite noticeable. It sure feels remote and I saw very few people. I may yet bike the abandoned rail line and poke around that area a bit more. Thanks for the photography!

Some of the old rail line is closed off by the township these days... That's a good paddle from Mackey... lol. Thanks for watching.

I tried to visit Klock in early April to catch the reservoir at its lowest, see the rapids, but while the falls was nice, the reservoir was already full enough that the rapids were gone

(Due to the low snowpack they filled it early)
