Episode 15 of PTT Season 1 (The Catacombs) has long been my favourite instalment of PTT/Retry due to the relentless insanity of Rory's actions and the madness inflicted upon Gav and Krupa. That changed today. Bravo lads.
Using a Parry shield to block and a regular shield for parrying is killing me on the inside.
I'm glad Daniel spotted the 'Frozen' reference in the flavour text of Blaidd's armour - 38:00 Also incredible Wealdstone Raider reference by Gav Murphy at 1:27:16🤣
Theres also a reference to the Japanese anime sensation 'Dragon Ball Z' at 56:00 as rory waits for a whole episode to allow his opponent to charge up

Rory really is one of a kind, having played so many from software games and yet he plays like it's his first one, I love it, absolutely amazing, never seen anyone like him 😂
It's not only that he plays like it's his first souls game. He plays like he's never seen a controller in his life. Like he can't remember what happened 5 seconds ago. How does he find his way to the studio every day? Do the others come to his house, feeds him and gets him dressed each morning?

Blaidd's downfall is one of the saddest parts of the Ranni quest and in general endings for characters in this game, because you yourself must put him out of his pain.

I'm an American and I have ALWAYS referred to Jigsaw Puzzles by their proper name. When I heard Daniel say that, I said "Huh? We don't call it a jigsaw? Zuh?".
American here - never realized that it’s weird to just call it a “puzzle” and everyone understands what that means over here lol, but totally see the boys’ point. I think it’s all understood based on context, like “I’m gonna curl up by the fire and do a nice relaxing puzzle”
We do call the guy from saw Jigsaw tho 😂 we all know the term, we just barely use it for some reason
Agreed, "jigsaw" is obviously more specific but what other types of puzzles do most people do at home? I feel like by process of elimination it refers to a jigsaw, unless you and your friend group like to do puzzle boxes or things like that.
What do you say if you want to do a non-Jigaw puzzle?

I don't want to back seat game because I know you lads are doing really well now, and it's a lot of fun.
But maybe krupa should explain that different shields have different guard boosts. Because seeing Powers blocking with a tiny cereal bowl of a parry shield hurts my soul. It's extra bad when you have a few fantastic middle sized shields in your inventory.
Are we seeing the same show? Do you think it’ll change anything? 😂 How many times we saw Rory running around holding a torch while he had the lantern already? Or getting naked when he had armour that gave him resistance? 😅

Ngl seeing how Ranni orchestrated the night of black knives, I was so scared Ranni herself set up the killings of Blaidd and Iji now that she doesn't need them anymore, in a "tieing up loose ends" kind of way.
I guess Marika being connected to the Numen, which make up the black knife assassins, is a real double-edged sword like that: On one hand, it gives us an out on the possibility that Ranni killed the welsh avengers, but on the other hand it also suggests Marika might have been implicated in the killing of her own firstborns' soul.
Been so sick I haven't even been able to watch. Got some catching up to do but thanks as always for the wonderful content.
