Worth pointing out it was ITV, as opposed to the BBC, who began questioning the Irish show trials from the 1970s with various documentaries questioning the original verdicts broadcast between 1984-86.
Hats off to Yorkshire Television for exposing the Guildford and Maguire stitch ups, to Granada and ‘World in Action’ for doing likewise in the Birmingham case.

Yeah exactly! Innocent. Poor Gerry Conlon, £50.000 compensation? He snorted himself to death i believe, the damage done was not just construction, but life devastation. Just being Irish in London made you an IRA member! These pub bombings were wrong. Though their campaign I supported, but not Bombing pubs guys. Still can see Gerry Conlon walk out the front of the old Bailey, fists raised and to many cheers!! RIP Gerry.

These docos are tremendous. Great channel, mate.
There are levels of injustice. It is one thing to frame a person you believe is guilty. It is another thing to frame a person you believe is dangerous and may be guilty. It is quite another to frame a person you KNOW is innocent, allowing the guilty to go unpunished.
The whole British justice system needs to account for this outrage.
