This is one of the most thorough and enjoyable restorations I have seen. Truly captured the build quality and essence of the old tool and brought it back to life. Keep up the great work.
Thank you very much! I really do appreciate it :-)
I'm purely flabbergasted at your skill level and attention to detail. You are absolutely a master of restoration. I considered myself fairly capable at most things until now. Now I realize that I'm just a buffoon.
Terribly impressive. I do believe this is the most precision instrument Ive seen you restore, yet anyway.
I started with the German ratcheting wrench and have jumped around ever since loving every minute of it.
When you first showed the condition of the tyre inflator I thought there's no way he's able to stretch this out to 23 minutes of video: it didn't look too bad at first glance. But how wrong I was; your attention to detail is second to none, and the finished article is superb. The dial I thought would just be cleaned and polished but no, you had to make a new one from scratch and screen-print the numerals and letters onto it too! I'm seriously impressed with your work and the filming techniques also. Bravo man, Bravo!
Thank you very much for this nice comment! I first thought when i started this project, this should be an interesting but easy one. I can't tell you how wrong i was. This was the most challenging restoration i've done so far and i'm very happy with the result.
I think this would be the perfect tyre inflator for a lovely classic Ferrari from the 60's with some wonderful Borrani knockoff wire wheels!
Man, what talent! I instantly subscribed after watching this video. I promptly watched all the other ones on your channel. Please make more content if you can, your restorations are beyond a shadow of a doubt the best I have ever seen. Your attention to detail, precision with the mill, lathe, etc and affinity for highly polished metal really does it for me man. I loved watching your videos and can't wait for you to make more.
Same :)
Agreed.
Посмотрел много каналов этой тематики, но этот- самый лучший! Золотые руки и перфекционист! До мельчайших деталей ! Уважение и терпения тебе!
Once again I am astounded by your machining ability as well as your knowledge of the tools you restore. You absolutely bring these things back to life. Thank you.
I always watch your videos before sleeping, don't get me wrong, this level of perfection gives me so much satisfaction, that makes me be at peace! Great work, thanks for sharing. :)
I wonder if originally it looked this good coming out of the factory!
He fixes a lot of casting marks, etc., and I doubt it had a mirror polish ;)
Nope he polishes the parts. They chromed everything when it was new so they wouldn't have to polish.
Probably
No way
i tip my hat to you sir. Your attention to detail is on point. As a lifetime mechanic, thinking about getting one of these off the tool truck and then 40 years later getting to witness that nostalgia once again blows my mind. Im sure some of these old timers thats had these tools you restore are really appreciating your vids
I've watched many, many, many restoration video's, but this one is astonishing. If they gave out Oscar's for restorations, this wins the prize. Absolutely superb.
The quality of the engineering on what would have been a simple tool is quite impressive. It really puts modern equipment to shame, doesn't it? Amazing!
Detroit here. I accidentally stumbled upon your vise video yesterday. I'm subscribed now and absolutely hooked. I love how it's condensed but you show each step. Top notch. Keep up the good work.
My head hurts. I feel dizzy. So much knowledge, craftmanship, and art, in such little time.
After watching all of your videos man I've just come to one conclusion: You are a genius. Point, blank, period.
The tool is too beautiful to use now! Epic restoration.
this guy deserves 5 million subs
You could really be making a living doing this. You are every talented and this makes my OCD heart happy.
Probably is
I was really impressed how you remade the dial and reprinted the text/markings, that was excellent.
This resto is on a completely different level compared to everything I've seen on youtube. Amazing video!
That is one of the best restorations I’ve ever seen, please do lots more.
Thank you very much Brad. It's also by far my best and most challenging work so far.
That's it man....
You win....
I've watched at least a few hundred or more restoration videos from a dozen other channels and no one,(sorry but no offense to Tysy,Handtoolrescue,RandomHands,Good of the land, and others doing really high quality work)and I mean NOBODY,is going to the length and measure, that you're taking with these projects...😎
They do excellent work, and include a lot of the same skills, but man...You are just on another level...👏👏👏
I think the deciding factor, was you hand tooling the 10 screws for the dial face..😮
You just needed one,but then it wouldn't have exactly matched...🙄
So let's mill,cut,polish,9 others one at a time, just so they all match perfectly...😂
I subscribed to you right then...☺
Amazing, jaw dropping work ,each video just continues to impress!!!🖒🖒
After watching most of his videos, I've come to realize, I'm a waste of oxygen
@@MadStacks007 Awww Dina...😁
Don't be so hard on yourself!!😉
I'm sure you have skills in something!👍
What amazes me, is how he knows how a specific part is supposed to look. Amazing job.
Nice to hear that, thank you :-)
You're welcome 🙂
When he showed us the sketch and explained how he’d fix it, that’s how much he cares about his audience... 😔👊
I kept doubt while watching.. cause that was the complicated measuring device. That doubt was gone when you did elaborate calibration process. Amazing work..and very impressed.
Завораживающее зрелище, очень приятно смотреть! У вас золотые руки и суперская мастерская!✌️ Только очень мало видео с русскими субтитрами, пожалуйста делайте их чаще! Всех благ вам!
This guy is a true Master of repairs. Take note, anyone who makes a video claiming "restorations", watch this guy first and then understand what a "TRUE" restoration is 😊😉😎👍
This guy just has to be Swiss.
I am :-)
I was thinking the exact same 👍👍👍
lol a good stereotype!
@@mymechanics any watch recommendations? I am partial to hamilton myself.
@@morganmmontz Lol! With Swiss watches, time is money - how exquisite do you want to be?
by far one of the best restoration vids I've watched on here, and I've watched 1000's. Love it!
Being italian i cant help but saying MAGNIFICO LAVORO!! Congratulation sir. You're simply the best restorer on YT.
La cantidad de técnicas que dominas, la atención al detalle y la calidad de la imagen hacen que seas, de lejos, el mejor. Enhorabuena
This is so cathartic, lol. I just found your channel and have just been letting it play while I'm working: Deal with gnarly IT mess.....Watch some fine gentleman immaculately restore something. It's a weird balance, but seems to work.
Haha Same here!! There's just something so satisfying about watching an old, basically junk, tool or equipment be restored to better than new. While I peck away at my keyboard.
I didn't realize so many parts were brass in the unrestored piece. Loved the new brass bolts.
Канал номер один!!!!! На просторах UA-cam перфекционист номер один!!!! Подписан!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! С удовольствием смотрю ваши работы!!!!! 👍✌️💯💣Всё. Чётко!!!
Yeah! What he said! ... what did he say?
The dial is well restored. Fascinating!
Haven't even finished watching the video, but just wanted to say, I'm loving your work. Going through each step, of each part, what you're doing and why. Even down to watching you cut out gaskets! I'm hooked. All this with no silliness or terrible back ground music. Keep up the great work 👏👏🙇♀️
Thank you 29 :-) keep enjoy watching it to the end, nice to have you here.
When you used GIMP my respect for you increased 10 fold.
Museum quality workmanship.Flipping outstanding!!!
Amazing work as usual !
Would've loved a wooden handle to replace the blue plastic
I don’t understand, I’m literally lost for words! Let’s make a new one! WHAT HOW DID YOU DO THAT!!!
Yeah we will just scan it in..... sorry you are doing what now!!!! 🤯
You sir are truly gifted, skilled and the patience of a saint! Amazing!!!!
i love how he always says "they came out perfect!" as if there was ever any doubt they would
The best restoration job I have ever sen on UA-cam, well done!!!
The attention to detail and the craftsmanship in these restoration videos are absolutely amazing
Fantastic! We never expected the screen printing! Such lovely, meticulous work. It makes me want to be more careful in my projects. Thanks!
I can't get enough of your work, ''when brains, hands and tools meet'' you will see miracles.
Left me without words sir.... Incredible perfectionism
