For a bass such as the Ibanez RDGR 500 that doesn't have a pickguard or anything, I'm guessing you just do the same process by just removing the backplate. Correct? Also, is there any special way to clean knobs with a pull out function?
Can you make a video on how to clean the bass pickups, mine are getting a bit oxidized and I've been trying to look for the best way to clean them, but i can't seem to find any good tutorials at all.
i've owned a bass for over 10 years and i had no idea about most of this... only reason why i'm watching this is because i got my bass stolen and im buying a new one and i read on a review this guitar sounded great after setting it up.... TIL
Hey Mr Carruthers. You've been over using that Bass too much for these videos. I think you should get a new one, entirely to provide variation, and give that one to me! I'll see that it gets a nice retirement home and gets played nicely. Thanks for the Vids. Big value!
I watch Mr. Carruthers' videos from time to time just because it is so relaxing.
this guy is the bob ross of bass repair

Sorry you didn't get an answer to your question 11 years ago! Here's a video that deals with these issues: ua-cam.com/video/oRdHsigtqlA/v-deo.html
