The Dibang Multipurpose Hydro Project Downstream Affected Area Committee (DMHPDAAC) on April 27 opposed the construction of a 10,000 mega-watt dam over the siang river and demanded the state government to prepare a ‘cumulative downstream impact assessment’ of various projects in the state.

The whole of Arunachal is an exotic region with diverse cultures, flaura and fauna.if govt wants to accumulate resources from arunachal with its exotic nature and diverse culture as well as its geographical beauty it can easily be developed into a major site of tourist revenue..and jaha tak electricity ka baat hai...govt can make hydrokinetic submerged turbines too..same hydro output without disturbing ecosystem or submerging the large area nad its diverse culture..and it will also become a tourist attraction as india me abhi tak asa koi hydrokinetic submerged hydroturbine project nahi hai ..ek teer se 2 shikaar...and if it cant be done then ther are thousands of smaller rivers in arunachal which are free for such projects amd building dams upon those thousands will produce more energy, create mor jobs, and also not destroy the ecosystem compared to that one mega 10k megawhatt hydro projects..arunachal isnt calle land of 1000 rivers for notthing...#no_megadam_on_siang(brahmaputra)

This is not right and dam construction helps those regions. In fact China is building a dam upstream to Arunachal Pradesh, which China will use dam against India during war, at that time all eastern states will be flooded. This is disadvantage to India on defence issue. So who ever gave that information is wrong. China don’t like India to build a dam. It’s China that is crating this news.
