I have seen many comments everybody is concerned about deforestation ,loss of national parks .,loss of environment, pilgrimage place but one broader picture says that this dam can prevent floods of assam as lohit which is tribtutory of brahmaputra river brings floods every year and china ex : china didn't share figures of water this year as a result flood
Benefits: electricity can be produce,flood in assam can be reduced,can be used for irrigation .But need to balance between development and environment

Not just the sanctuaries or tourist sites, but also the upper part of Assam will be affected. I am from dibrugarh district which is near dibru choikowa sanctuary. The Brahmaputra river flows through the center of the Dibrugarh district. So, for if whatever reason someday the dam breaks, it will be going to cause huge damage to the public and property just like Kerala
