The dominance didn't start with Gibbs drop as the media and public markets it. South Africa met Australia in a semi final game later on and the match was tied the 2 runners that were in didn't take the last 2 runs to give them the advantage to win the game. That's where the real dominance started cos SA had a chance to win the game there and then!
