Don't call him one of the best it's an insult to his achievements. He is the best fielder of all time. There is no comparison, there won't be another Jonty Rhodes cricket will ever witness.
I remember Aussie TV showing how Jonty would jump and be in midair when the batsman made contact with the ball, so that as he landed his feet would be pointing in the direction he needed to go. I used this when I played cricket and it works. Best fielder ever!
Jonty and Donald - lethal combination. Jonty redefined the job of a fielder. He took cricket from a sport where you don't get your whites dirty, to a sport where even the easiest single had to be earned. Today, what Jonty did should be standard to make the team. Back then, Jonty was the benchmark.
I am very lucky to say that i lived and witnessed cricket in the greatest era ever. (Sachin, Azhar, Waqar, wasim, Anwar, Vass, Murali, Jayasurya, Rhodes, Donald, Kallis, Lara, Ambrose, Walsh, Mark Waugh, Gilchrist, McGrath)
Yeah , and we didn't even know it while watching... I have to admit, I don't really watch cricket anymore even tho I played it growing up. I think things changed when it went all commercial with the T20s (maybe)
I remember in our child's and play cricket , if somebody takes a good catch or hits wickets directly with a throw we use to called it " you have done it as good as jonty rhodes does" etc.
You missed the run out of Sourav Ganguly in the 1999 World Cup. He scored 97 before falling to a brilliant direct hit clinically executed by Mr. Rhodes.
Jonty was so good, batsman would hesitate when he got the ball, which just made him more deadly. You can see Lara hesitated when he saw Jonty had the ball, he knew he was a goner.
What a great fielder
❤
Great fielder ? But not as good as Ricky Ponting who was as good but better as he could also bat..💯💯😍
Jonty the greatest of all time. Who agree with me ?
❤️
Kenneth Colin Bland was the greatest...
mee too❤❤❤
💯💯💯
Jonty changed the art of fielding.
Everytime Jonty anticipated the shot...that is too much anticipating
With all his might
@@waynehabig5058 lol
The anticipation is edge of your seat stuff....
Don't forget he picked it up cleanly.
A fielder who could literally save you 50 runs, then do a quick fire 50 with the bat
Jonty Rhodes is the only player in history of cricket who could find a place in the playing XI on the basis of his fielding only
"He picked it up cleanly and threw it with all his might" x 10
❤️
This commentary I could anticipate before each run out was amde and believed with all my might that it will hit! Cock suckers!
😂😂😂
BROOOO 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Best athletes ever in cricket and a very humble sportsman

Exceptional player in fielding
❤️
Undoubtedly the best of our times! The Aussies always say Ponting was better but Jonty Rhodes put the fear of God in batsmen.
Ponting was excellent but Jonty is the GOAT who revolutionized fielding, setting the standard for modern day cricketers.

Jonty Rhodes was the G.O.A.T. fielder.
3:30 the one time in his career he miss-fielded the ball, he still managed to get a runout out of it

I'm a little bit busy with my job , but i will make videos ASAP.❤️❤️❤️
Bro you have missed one of the finest runoutof inzamam done by jonty in 92world cup

Bro that was not a direct hit...probably thats why
Jonty was so good, batsman would hesitate when he got the ball, which just made him more deadly. You can see Lara hesitated when he saw Jonty had the ball, he knew he was a goner.
Inzimam runout in 1992 was best of all.... should have been in this list...
I feel Inzamam run out 1992 World Cup was best
