I'm bionic Batman! Playing the cartridge version for fast load times. IGT: 11:32 (counting full seconds spent in each level)
Got some minor graphic glitches in the first level, never happened before. Middle levels are rather trivial, but the driving stage could be done faster. It appears the compound mixing stage always gives the same combination if pressing fire to start it as soon as possible. In the balloon stage you only need to move up and down, after positioning the batplane horizontally. I was planning on taking an intentional death on the last level, but ended up risking it to get a deathless run. Spawn points are not very generous so I took it a bit safe. It's possible to do "screen wrapping" in this game. That means teleport to the other side of the screen by doing specific movements. Didn't find a good place to benefit from that in this run.
oh man I loved this game! :) I remember playing this when I was a kid. I was so excited when I got to the third level and heard that awesome music :D good times

This game rocked for a C64 game.
The majority of the game is really nice looking, but someone really dropped the ball with that Joker sprite at the end!

Thanks :) I believe this to be the fastest route, but there's always a chance to find glitches to skip some sections entirely. Also, the execution isn't exactly perfect so it shouldn't be very hard to improve this time without glitches. I found maps for the platformer levels, those were useful with routing.

Hi! Captured with WinVICE internal recording. Video was then cropped and resized to 720p, maintaining aspect ratio and without filtering, for better YT quality and frame rate. Most free video editing programs should have these functions, I've been using VirtualDub for a long time myself. The second video linked in the description with emu window and timer was recorded simultaneously with OBS and posted without editing.
Capturing from the emulator makes it way more blockier than the original, Other than that, its legendary game for c64.
Video resolution has to be increased for YT. Low resolution videos get really blurry and reduced frame rate. Other option would be to have gigantic letterboxes around the video. I also bought this on tape almost 30 years ago :)
