2019 GMC Sierra AT4 Review

- My first viewing of the 2019 GMC Sierra AT4 left me with wanting more. Finally, I get my hands on this upscaled four-wheel-drive to see where it lands in the world of off-road pickups. Is it a Ford Raptor or Ram Rebel fighter or is it just an optioned out mall crawler? Let's find out by driving around Los Angeles and touring out to Hungry Valley SVRA for some off-roading!

Good job I appreciate your honest comments, you explain the details very clear I enjoy the video of this beautiful truck. Thank you very much 👍🙏🤗
Thanks, Francisco! Also, be sure to check out CarbageOnline.com as I do more there than I do here on UA-cam. As the site and channel grow, I am planning to do more and concentrate on stories and reviews like this. So, be sure to also share this with friends and family!
Hey man! Really like your video, so detailed and you seem like a really relatable guy! Thanks for your content!
Thanks! I'm still doing videos, just trying to do them in my downtime between freelance gigs (since those freelance gigs are what pay my bills).

Thanks! Also be sure to follow the social channels in the description!
Thank you for this video!
Drove mine home from Minnesota to Chicago this past weekend. Great car. The Cameras are awesome, drives very smooth. The 10 speed transmission shifts very nicely. Put it in sport mode and It's got some balls. I don't know who dubbed this a raptor fighter, cause they are two very different Trucks.
I agree and I wanted to be sure people understood that this isn't a super hardcore truck. I think of more people understand that it's more like an FX4 fighter then I think it would get a better response that I haven't seen the negative response from it either. I can feel it usually say that it's definitely a truck worth buying I just wish you didn't cost so darn much.
Also, you can get them for under msrp. The dealers know not a lot of people will pay over 60,000 for a Truck.
And that's very true to if you can haggle the price down you know you should you shouldn't be paying your parents are P or sticker price for a vehicle any vehicle. One of the things that GMC talked about when I first learned about the 84 back a little less than a year ago was that people were willing to buy this and other Sierras at sticker it was a shock to hear that.
good job with the video up in canada we get to try them in the snow looks hot where you are i was laughing when you went through the big mud water got to clean it before you bring it back to the dealership and then you go through the car wash lol
Not a dealer truck but a press model that GMC has for the SoCal region.
@@Carbageonline i work up in a gm dealership in canada never heard of that a press model so do you work at a dealership
@@silverado15 No, I don't. I work as a journalist and own CarbageOnline.com, my online automotive publication. This is a bit of insider information, but what I'm about to say is public knowledge. A "Press Vehicle" or "Press Model" is simply a vehicle model that GMC provides to their press and PR regions just for press reviews. When you see a review of a new vehicle on a magazine or website, that is what is typically used.
There are only two cases where a magazine or site buys a vehicle for review - long-term reviews (over a month in length or longer) and Consumer Reports. Not everyone can afford to do that, especially an online publication.
@@Carbageonline thanks for that info iguess i am lucky i work at the dealership and can post videos of any trucks. supporting and subing you from eastern canada
If this was a Power Wagon would you still think about driving the trails you did not drive?
Potentially, yes. I would at least get as far as I could before the trail got too tight.
Just a word of caution - the new 2019 Silverado-Sierra twins can NOT even be ordered or does NOT come with the “power brake and foot pedal” adjuster.... Think about such a large truck without this option....If you have short legs, you have to move up the seat close to the steering wheel, which has an airbag in it.
This is normally a pretty standard option for most trucks (GM, Ram, Ford)...I own a 2017 Silverado, but some “bean counter” within GM axed this very useful feature......why?
good comment i dont know why they axed it
Whats the fuel tank size.
24-gallons
Love this truck im definitely gonna save for it but in the i6 diesel
I'm definitely curious about the new I6 Duramax and how it will perform. Hopefully they will have some press models ready when they launch it.
I own a 6.2L AT4 and I must say if you're going to be in the market for one definitely wait for the i6 diesel option. Word is it's supposed to get 25 or 30 mpg. I average 15-18 in the city.
@@DC-jt9py it's 23 city 33 highway with 2wd and 23 city 29 highway with 4wd with the diesle
@@bbinc.8893 Those are fantastic numbers! If you have it available can you send me a link to those numbers? I tried to do a quick google search and I could only find the gmc projected numbers for the diesel. Also is that for the 3.0L diesel?
@@Carbageonline the l6 are out in the states were delayed because of the GM strike we still didnt get any up in canada though
Old boy needs some taco bell
It's hard to argue with a $5 meal, man. LOL
@@Carbageonline helps with after the pucker factor haha
