    THANK YOU!
    I have a 1yr old GSD and have been wanting to make the switch to a raw diet. I've fed him mostly kibble, with the exception of some eggs, cottage cheese, and raw meats here and there....but mostly kibble. And for some reason, his BMs are always different. I thought it was mixing the two, but for the past 2 months, I've only fed him kibble and the bowl changes persist.
    Making the switch and will be joining you here and on FB(:

      I was defrosting a chicken for dinner but my mastiff pup got it for dinner instead 🤣 He said, no problem, bones are great as long as they aren't cooked! I've always kept a bag of frozen wings in the freezer just for the dogs. I've never had a problem with them with any of my dogs. Enjoy!

    Thank you for informative video, your vid going strong three years later. What if my dog has eaten dry food all his life and just recently switched to a human food diet? Can raw hurt his belly? He also has skin allergies but we've been giving him antibodies at the vet while we figure out what food type is giving him this. We've been giving him top Salmon food brands for the last year and he still got allergies.

    I was worried because my 60 lb Male Husky (Apollo) grabbed one of the raw chicken leg quarter from my kitchen counter, but now I’m really interested in this feeding method (which I didn’t know existed).
    I know this may be a silly question, but is this regular meat? Like the one you get for yourself at Costco or is it has to be from a farm?

    My small dog will take down a wing no prob. My older large dog is not very into raw meat or the raw chicken bones. So, I slightly cook her food but she is not getting the bones for calcium. If I were to grind chicken with the bones could I still slightly cook the grind without turning those bone pieces into damaging splinters?

    • @RawFeeding101
      @RawFeeding101  5 років тому +3

    • @RawFeeding101

    • @RawFeeding101

      Most likely no, just watch for anything out of the ordinary. Not acting like themselves, bloating, lethargy, difficulties going to the bathroom etc… If one or more of those things pops up head to the vet.

    Hi, at first my dog was doing really well with eating but now he has become a gulper. He gulps all the chicken drum sticks. Before he digested them fine, but today he was a bit constipated. So you said a cooked bone that void of moisture leaves sharp dangerous pieces. How about if the chicken is boiled our roasted and very moist?

    • @RawFeeding101
      @RawFeeding101  4 роки тому

      Still the same problem. I would never recommend feeding a cooked chicken bone or any other bone for that matter.

    • @RawFeeding101
      @RawFeeding101  4 роки тому

      Feeding cooked bones, regardless of how they are cooked is dangerous. I’m not sure how flavor factors in here for you. Any type of cooking removes moisture from bones which makes them brittle.

      Dog Dad i grave her a leg quarter today it didn’t seem like she liked it as much. I feed her one a day it’s actually pretty cheap. I get it for $.40 a pound. I boil it with mashed sweet potatoes the mix in chopped broccoli. Do you think supplements are required. I don’t take any myself but eat healthy, was going to do the same for her. 1 1/2 cupsof kibble and one homemade meal.
