Great tip about the coconut oil. My dog was raw fed from birth but I tried to give him some whole liver today and he looked at me like it was an alien so i searched this video and blended his liver with some coconut oil and carrot and scoffed it down.
Yay! Success!!
Killing it man! 108! Keep it up!
+Jordan Miller Thanks Jordan, I love your channel! So creative!
Ur channel is the best!
Thank you for the kind words 🙏
I struggle with this issue....thanks for the tips👍🏻
No worries!!
Yay thank you!!! I’m going to try blending with coconut oil and egg, my dogs LOVE the raw diet but my girl is very much of a texture girl.
I hope it helps!
for my fussy girl I mix it with a bit of turkey mince or beef mince which she loves. She is good at picking the stuff she doesn't like out. she doesn't mind liver she wont really eat kidney. but she will eat organs that count as meats such as heart she will scoff down. tonight she has got liver, kidney, heart, meat chunks or turkey mince, chicken wing and coconut oil she also likes a bit of veg :)
Glad you found a solution that works for you!
Thanks so much. I've just started raw and my dog kona is killing me. I found myself begging him. he's a huskey and swear I understand him tell me no way mom. I sat on the floor laughing when I caught myself doing the airplane noises. I forgot he's my dog not one of the kids. Lol
Hahahahaha that's amazing!
My dog is super picky and when I changed her on raw diet i was so surprised that she ate the liver and egg! She even ate the egg shell! She normally saves the egg shell until later and then eats it. Either she loved it or she was just really sick of kibble XD she really hated her kibble and just wouldn t eat, the only time she ate it was if she didn't eat for a couple days so she must have been starving, she wasn't under weight but now she's on a raw diet, I have a couple videos of her eating her meals and how she started off :)
+Muddy Paws that's amazing to hear~!
I have found that my dog will scarf down little tiny pieces before he realizes what it is. Cut a tiny piece and just throw it on the floor they should scarf it up and over time get more used to the flavor.
(beef liver)
Great tip!
I use a blender to do grinds. I just avoid bones. If the blender crushed ice, It can crush frozen meat
Interesting! How do you get your bone content in there?
Dog Dad They love their meaty bones and extra calcium with egg shell
Love it!
If you start out by mixing some with some other foods at a very young age they will eat it 100% , It's only hard to get them to eat this when you start out at a later age after they are used to eating some other foods .
They still wouldn't touch it. lol. They scarfed down that poultry neck though. I tried blending it. I think they're not hungry enough. I put it in the freezer and will let them lick it when they feel for snacks.
for some reason my dogs only eat liver that is not poultry based (chicken, turkey, duck) but loves beef and sheep liver.
That's actually super common! Dogs are just picky sometimes. :/
Oh I’m gonna try this!
My Sammy dislikes raw Lamb. I just mix it with plenty of green tripe or salmon oil & he just gulps it right up. Disguising the smell works every time.
Very nice!
How did you shift your dogs from the blended mix to feeding it plain? Did you phase out the amount of blended in egg/coconut oil, reduce how much you blended, or both?
Yes :) I removed 1 ingredient at a time until only the liver was left then fed the liver whole
My dog wouldn’t eat organs so I used my food processor and mixed the liver, kidney, tripe, beef or steak or pork, gizzards and hearts in a mix all together. Then I add phytoplankton and a calcium supplement to the mix because he won’t eat chicken bones at all, or chicken feet! I’ve found that he will eat pork tale bone so I’ve been feeding him that for calcium too. He’s a 70 lb golden doodle. And then I feed him a raw egg with a blended up mixture of honey, coconut oil, turmeric, pinch of oatmeal, pinch of spinach and some blueberries or a piece of apple apple every other day. I think that is a pretty balanced diet? Please share with me to let me know what you think, if it’s balanced enough or not! :) thank you!
Sounds great! I would also make sure to add a raw dairy complete food like raw milk and/or kefir to help round yourself out!
Awesome advice! Thank you!!
No problemo!
Do you have to clean raw liver before feeding? Like removing the greenish parts that can taste bitter or give as is?
No :)
Just got my puppy, he’s 11 weeks old and was fed kibble before coming home to me. I’ve been trying to feed him raw, tried blending kibble into the mix (even though I didn’t want to) and he still didn’t want to eat it. He’ll eat ground beef but when I tried blending it with liver and chicken bone broth (he likes) he was like nah. I’m nervous because he’s so young and small and I want to make sure he’s getting all the nutrients he needs to grow in a healthy way! Pls help!! (Btw he’s a 4lb Morkie)
Have you tried a balanced premade?
How about freeze dried? Is it as valuable as fresh raw?
Yes :) but the weight you feed will be different because of the water being removed.
This guy is right my dog hates the texture I boil it for about 2 minutes so it is still raw but the texture has changed and he eats it.😍🐆🐾
Fantastic!
My dog won't eat organs unless it's pureed first and then mixed with raw egg. Then he laps it up like no tomorrow.
I tried cooking the liver (that's what worked last time), then pureeing liver with yogurt and sweet potato, but he still won't eat it. It's frustrating because he was eating it with just issues beginning before, then we got a bunch of hearts that he ate for a few weeks, now we're back to liver and kidneys and suddenly he won't eat. It's been three days and i'm getting really concerned. He also used to love his veggies, especially orange ones, but now he refuses to eat anything but cooked cauliflower (as long as it has cheese in it). Any ideas on what is going on and what i can do about it?!?
Sounds to me like your dog could benefit from a constant rotation situation where you're rotating from one food to another on a consistent basis.
You need to feed your dog caviar and champagne.
Do I sense a smart aleck comment? ;)
I think my dog doesn't like the texture either. He used to eat liver all the time no problem mixed in with the rest of his food or even as treats. Raw or cooked but like you he doesn't always get it I like to mix up the meals. I haven't figured it out yet. I think it just depends on the mood like people. Cauliflower is always easy to eat as it doesn't have any flavor and has decent texture. You can probably take out the cheese. I find if the pieces are smaller he'd eat it better easier.but like you I get frustrated. Especially when I have slimy pieces of liver all around the bowl or down the hall. My dog can be a jerk LOL
My dogs vomit or don’t eat it at all
Even with only a teaspoon full of liver or heart
The worse is vomit after few min all out then I trip them to eat it
Our girl is a good eater. She's always eaten pretty much anything I've given her... HOWEVER I can't get her to eat kidney. Honestly I can't really blame her. She'll sniff it and turn her head (like I said, "I'm with ya girl"). I might try blending it but I'll only do one meal's worth, I'd hate to have to throw out a whole batch of food because she can't get past the smell.
Yes indeed! Give it a try!
Yuck, kidney is an organ that filters impurity from the body and blood the excrete it out in urine. Kidney stinks. Of course your dog can't stand the smell.
Most dogs actually love kidney. You're talking about a species that regularly eats poop lol
Hi there! I am super frustrated with one of my dogs., she won’t eat chicken liver or beef kidney. I am new to feeding raw and this is her third week so I am adding in her organs. Tried blending it, chopping it up small while frozen and mixing it in with her fish oil but she won’t touch either! I’m going to try to find beef see if maybe she likes that. Any other tips?? Thank you!
Another great mixer/hiding agent is green tripe. Try that. In the mean time supplement organic eggs and/or raw milk to provide some of your missing nutrients.
Thank you for the response! Ok I’m going to try that, RFM has a monster mash organ blend that has green tree so I’m going to order that and see if she will eat it. I do giver her 2 eggs per week and kefir about 2 also is that plenty or should I do an egg or dairy daily until she eats organs? This is her 4th week on raw so I definitely don’t want her losing out on nutrients. Thankfully my puppy gobles down all organs so no issues there!
It's about the best you can do right now but get that mash delivered to you immediately. Get just straight green tripe as well.
Thanks so much! Will give those two a try.
You are so welcome!

Yay! She ate liver from a local chicken harvest! I mixed w coconut oil, sunflower lecithin, broth and a tiny bit of thyme. She's new to raw food so I poured it over her kibble. So happy she can eat some real food!
Yay!
My dog hates liver and kidney, but he loves stinky sardines. So guess what I do?
Do tell :)
I wish i was his dady.... just say'n
+Will Cook Not sure I understand. ;)
Raw meat/organs is BAD... full of bacteria. Your dog will get sick and transmit that disease to you if you have close interaction with your dog. I have tried giving my shih tzu raw food for a while but realized it's not healthy. My dog would love the normal cooked meat: beef, prime rib, beef patty from Habit Burger, boiled liver, boiled chicken gizzard, boiled egg, boiled organic chicken from Trader Joe's, and lots of raw carrot sticks.
I'm sorry but 100% disagree. I've been feeding raw for almost 9 years and none of my dogs (nor human family members) have become sick because we practice everyday sanitation processes. I've helped more than 30k people with transitioning to raw. If done right, it's completely safe.
Dog Dad then I am happy for you that you were able to give your dogs a good healthy lives and helping so many people. May be I wasn't persistent enough to continue with the raw diet.
You are brainwashed dogs are fucking carnivores lol they don't cook there meat in the wild haha.
