I always thought that it was really suspicious that Vince still kept Pat Patterson on his payroll even when his name was tied to that. This is why Jake left the WWF in 1992 after WrestleMania as Vince lied to him about Pat being gone and Jake getting his spot on the creative staff.

He was fired because of suspicions but was brought back. And some recent allegations are that the FBI ignored evidence against Mel despite of a video tape of an incident. With Terry and Pat, it's pretty crystal clear with the stories involving them. With Mel, there's some weirdness going on with his stuff. But the allegations about him have been consistent as well.
