Nice build you’re doing a great job great video I’d love to get one of these vehicles unfortunately the state I live in will not license them for the road I heard the other day the states that were allowing them are now stopping and aren’t approving them for the road anymore
Thanks for your video, I was looking for this kind of Fiberglass X-Doors ! For the door strike the best would have been to customize them by welding them on a plate that uses the same holes as the previous ones. For the inside mounting plates I would think about making them from aluminium with laser cut, it is easy to order custom cut parts on the web and less expensive than using grinder disks…
What’s up brother?! I’ve followed all your videos to make my configuration similar! I have a question though..did you split the gasket on the sides and back then?
Thank you very much for loading this. I got the same doors and have been spinning my head around installing them. Does the weather stripping impact the original positioning? What paint did you use?
@@MyHumveeMathilda what about the angle on the back? Where it didn’t match your C pillar? How did you fix that. How hard are the windows to operate? Could young kids put them up and down ?
@@abc-ed1nr every humvee is different. There’s always a gap back there. I filled it in with aluminum strips and rivets. Now I need to weatherstrip, then it should close completely. I wouldn’t let a small kid play with those windows. A slightly older kid that understands how the slide latch works maybe.
DInca, sorry for not responding earlier. I got them from eBay. Heres a link. if it's expired, try searching using the same title. www.ebay.com/itm/234556563171?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=3TbhHe_JSES&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=HvGv3geuTLu&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

@@MyHumveeMathilda Thanks for the reply. Hard doors and soft doors seem to be difficult to come by these days. I would totally settle for soft doors if they were in decent shape. I bought a pair of rear doors when I converted my M1123 to a four man. The zippers for the windows were trash. Anyway crossing my fingers to be able to find soft doors or hard doors at a decent price sometime soon. The guy that's building your doors is doing a great job. Anyway keep up the good work I like your videos and like I said I really enjoy seeing what other people do to their trucks.
This guy (NGA corvette) ghosted me after many promises and then he said the doors were ready then I begged him for an invoice and nothing. been 3 months now and still waiting.
Always like watching your videos in depth and always cool to see new things and progress I'm happy for you hope to have mine one day
Thanks man. I hope you get one soon too. They’re fun trucks. 😎

I’ve been hearing that too.

Thank you. Yes I know. I get a lot of parts from SendCutSend.
@@MyHumveeMathilda yes I am actually looking at All your videos and I just saw the Laser cut pieces for the machine Gun. Very Nice project !!
Great video. Nice Humvee and workshop!
Thank you. Do see my other vids and subscribe. It encourages me. 😁
Very nice video, i learned something new.
Thank you 🙏
Nice work.
Love the video. Thanks
Thank you. 🙂

The gasket?
@@MyHumveeMathilda yes sir. I got the doors from Chris also. They came with gasket seals. Did you run them on the outer edge of the door?
How to order? for private use only.
Great video brother. Would you recommend me a reliable ignition switch please. Thanks.
I’d stay away from ignition switches. Your smart box might react unfavorably. Instead look at my video on fuel cutoff.

What paint did you use?
Exterior Latex house paint. Color matched to 383 CARC green. I also use Rapco spray can paint. I still need to weather strip, but no, it should not.
Thank you! I am going to attempt putting them on sometime in the next couple weeks.
Can you share the direct link to where Northern GA Corvette lists these doors? I don’t see them on his face book page.
Try facebook marketplace. Search for humvee doors in GA. The ad keeps changing and coming and going. The guys name is Chris Gowin

@@MyHumveeMathilda thank you!
Would you recommend these doors to others? I have an 1165. I also follow you on steel soldiers
I totally would recommend them. For $2k they can’t be beat. And they’ve lasted over a year with no issues.

I am buying some fiberglass doors from West Kentucky surplus. Why don't your rear doors fit correctly? Love the build.
Every humvee is a bit different because the c pillar moves. Sometimes you need filler panels.
Can you please add the link for hardware you use for sandwich plate
Sandwich plate? I assume you mean the square plates for the inside of the door. Those are $0.50 at Lowe’s/Home Depot
@MyHumveeMathilda hi thanks for the information could please add a link for these hardware

How have these doors held up
Very well
@My Humvee Mathilda Thinking of getting them. Do you recommend or should I go another brand.
I like em. But it all depends on whether you want fiberglass or metal x doors and your budget.
@@MyHumveeMathilda budget is fiberglass. Just want to male sure they last
Yup. Theyve been on my truck for a year. Still look and feel great!
How much did you get the doors for and do they work with a soft top?
$2k and yes they work with a soft top.
Great videos. Keep it up. I really enjoy seeing what other HMMWV owners do to their rigs. BTW, you sell your old soft doors yet?
Thanks Russ. Yes I sold both pairs. (Total of 8 doors.)
