  • Installing a set of Midwest Military Equipment Aluminum Manual Roll Up Doors.
This video is NOT sponsored. Please note, I'll do an updated video this Summer/Spring when the weather will permit for proper painting. I will have to replace the weather strip at that time as it is a one time use. The rest of the truck is faded so I have to make decision about how I intend to paint these doors.

Thanks man! I wanted to try the same doors as you but couldn’t get hooked up with the vendor. Yours turned out great!

Didn't you see, The Last of Us? All you need is a Chevy S10. 😁

And probably around $4.5K. I think someone makes an anti theft bar that you can screw into the pillars that blocks someone from lifting out the doors. I did see some light in the upper back corner of the drivers door, need to fill in that gap somehow. As for draftiness there are all sorts of holes in the firewall and floorboards that could be plugged up with plastic caps. They are removable to allow for drainage especially those in the floor. It makes a big difference in all seasons of driving.
Another nice option for cold weather driving is an Espar heater for 24 volt trucks. I have never come across a Chinese diesel heater that operates on 24 volts so one will have to bite the bullet on cost unless someone eventually comes up with one

Yep. There are gaps. There are kits of little sheet metal inserts to fill those in. We just ran a long day on new years to a Glacier and it was plenty warm. Sweat shirt/hoodie only in the cabin warm. I don’t run it much when we get past 5 below zero.

Hello brother. Would you recommend me a keyed ignition switch please.

I ended up using a universal from American Auto Wire. The ones the Humvee retailers sell is not super higher quality and I went through two of them until I settled on the American Auto Wire one.

@@ggga6756 by the way. If I was doing it again I would do something radically different. I would get a keyless alarm system (probably a viper) that would only arm or disarm the ignition and then keep the stock start lever switch. In other words it would be super secure from unauthorized starting as the alarm would shut down the starter relay unless de-activated by the fob. Make sense? Then you are only splicing into the starter wire coming out of the switch and interrupting it with the remote alarm control module.
