I have heard EVERYONE perform these concertos. And while each pianist brought something unique to their interpretations, none of them can compare to these extraordinary and sublime performances by Angela Hewitt. She’s just on another level all her own. If anyone here loves Angela’s performances of Bach, I would strongly encourage you to listen to her interpretations of the Toccata in C minor and the Goldberg Variations. The latter she performs in Bach’s church in Leipzig, and it is a very emotional experience. ❤

The difference between piano players is, for instance, I hear Glenn Gould playing Bach and it's a beautiful thing. And I hear Bach being played by Mrs. Hewitt and the band and it's a beautiful thing.

この曲はかねてから私の大好きなバッハの所謂緩徐曲の１つで、バッハのカンタータ156番からもってきたと考えられている。かっての有名なケンプも演奏しているピアノ曲集の中の１つに入れている程に美しい旋律で ある。ケンプもピアノだが、ハープシコードによる演奏の動画はUA-camにもある。
なお、その動画ではLargoとなっているが、これではAdagioになっているが、どちらが正しいのでしょうか。
「ラルゴ」または「アダージョ」が同等です。 アルゼンチンから心からのご挨拶を申し上げます。
These are lovely performances. However, Bach never wrote them for the piano. He heard a piano once and hated it.
Bach isn't alive, so I wouldn't worry about it. I listen to and admire the musicality of the pianist.

I think that in piano sounds better than in clavier.
In Bach’s times there wasn’t piano in its modern version. Those instruments were not even comparable to the modern piano sound. Nevertheless Bach wrote a big cycle for well-tempered clavier, which is exactly a prototype of the modern piano but in Bach’s times. So, what kind of evidence do you have that Bach “hated piano”?
Although I like how Bach sounds being played on a modern piano, I do also very enjoy the authentic version being played on harpsichord, especially if it’s really brilliantly played, like by Zuzana Ruzickova, for instance.
