I wouldn’t call it a win for the avs. I think the canes did (assuming they resign mikko) just because they get the best player. But the avs did avoid a huge L if mikko walked
@@SteveEagles everyone wins all around I believe but canes can’t afford 14 mil asking price they got to many free agents to take care of but love the fact they took a swing for a cup run these deals are great for the sport
Per Cane GM Tulsky - Canes will have the money and would love to keep him. That’s the goal. It’s basically on Mikko if he wants to stay. Seemed much more confident with this trade over Guentzel last year. Time will tell.
@@avatarct82 canes are in a great position to keep him. Even if he hits the market they have the space to sign him, it’ll just cost more
Could have just paid him the money he wanted.
With makars contract next year they didn’t have 14m to spare
100% agree. I’m fine with overpaying by 1-2 million for a player like him.
Canes fan, Let’s Go!!!
lol you are out of your mind if you think Mikko is better than Nate or Cale . Yikes what a bad take
Carolina will pay up for Rantanen..or they are really dumb if they dont
Im sick to my stomach. I wanted Necas on the Avs but NOT LIKE THIS
im sorry, this is another trade the canes just robbed, im a ranger fan
@@boxingfan5555canes are able to pull this off every year because of their history of not paying guys. But they really need to pay mikko so those days are probably over
@SteveEagles I hope they don't pay mikko in the off-season, I want him to go to free agency!!
@@boxingfan5555 oh same 😂 but I doubt they let that happen
@SteveEagles I really wanted rantanen🙂
We dumb what can I say
I am so confused by this trade
Hard to believe that Rantanen wanted Draisaitl money, 😆 for being a real good player.
Joe Sakic is pretty smart..I sure hope Stan Bowman wakes up and deals Evan Bouchard before it’s to late.. to over-pay him.
Hard to believe that arguably the best winger in the world wanted top money in a rapidly increasing cap?
Where is draitsaitl cup ring? He is better than Rantanen but Rantanen has proved that he is stud in playoffs and he is very very good in regular season
@MagicMaker249 who cares Draisaitl has been way better in the playoffs and is a center which is more valuable than a winger.
@@dnice4145 way better? Last Time i checked Rantanen has +20 and draitsaitl has +10 he has More points per game true but he is poverplay merchant in playoffs and performs with Mcdavid
@@dnice4145 he gots couple More points than Rantanen but gives away even More at the same Time and they have similar Time on ice . They are evenly good on playoffs. And it doesnt matter If he is center becouse he plays in the wing when he plays with Mcdavid so ur he is center is More valuable point is pointless If we are talking about playoffs.
not as good as draisatl? LOL the canadian goggles make me laugh in pity.
Canes will cry if they will not win SC this year and not be able to sign Rantanen. Would be funny.😂
Imma say the only thing about Mikko is that he's lazy and not the best skater. Huge trade though.
Worst mustache ive ever seen
y'all dont watch avs games. Canes are going to be disappointed.
Avs management yotally blew it
Canes🥇and Barkov is over Dratsatl
