ജോസഫ് നിരീശ്വരവാദിയോ യുക്തിവാദിയോ അല്ല കാരണം ചർച്ചിൽ പോയി വരുന്ന വഴിക്കാണ് അക്രമത്തിൽ ഇയാൾക്ക് പരിക്കേറ്റത്. അത് കൊണ്ട് തന്നെ നിരീശ്വര/യുക്തിവാദ പരിസരത്തു കാണാറുള്ള ഒരു തരം നിസംഗതയും നിർവികാരതയും എങ്ങിനെയും ഇയാളിലുണ്ടാവാൻ വഴിയില്ല. ആ നിലക്ക് ചോദ്യപേപ്പര്‍ ക്രിയയെ ഒരിക്കലും അബദ്ധമെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു ന്യായീകരിക്കാനാകില്ല. ഇങ്ങേര് ദുരുദ്ദേശത്തൊടെയല്ല ചോദ്യപേപ്പര്‍ തയ്യാറാക്കിയതെന്ന് വിശ്വസിക്കാന്‍ പ്രയാസമുണ്ട്. കാരണം, പടച്ചോനും, ഒപ്പം ആളുടെ പേരു മുഹമ്മദും, നായിന്റെ മോനും കൂടി ചേര്‍ന്നാല്‍ അത് എവിടേയാണ്‌ കൊള്ളുകയെന്ന് സാമാന്യ ബോധമുള്ളവര്‍ക്കെല്ലാമറിയാം. അത്രക്ക് നിർദോഷിയും ശുദ്ധനുമായിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ "പടച്ചോനും മുഹമ്മദും" എന്നിടത്തു ഈ "അ"മാന്യനു കൂടുതൽ പരിചിതമായ "കർത്താവും ഈശോയും" ആയിരുന്നല്ലോ വരേണ്ടത്. എന്നാൽ ആ വാക്കുകൾ വന്നില്ല. മലയാള സാഹിത്യ പേപ്പറിലായിരുന്നല്ലോ ചോദ്യം, രണ്ടാണെങ്കിലും അത് കൊണ്ട് മലയാള സാഹിത്യത്തിനു കിട്ടേണ്ടിയിരുന്ന അതേ സമ്പുഷ്ടി തന്നെ കിട്ടുമായിരുന്നു താനും. ആ പദവിക്ക് ചേരാത്തതും തീർത്തും അശ്ലീലവും അങ്ങേയറ്റം പ്രകോപനവുമായിരുന്നു ഇയാളുടെ ചോദ്യക്രിയ എന്നതിൽ ഒരു സംശയവുമില്ല.
കഴിഞ്ഞ മാസം, അറ്റ്പോകാത്ത ഓർമകൾ വയിച്ചതേ ഉള്ളൂ.. എല്ലാവരും വായിച്ചിരിക്കേണ്ട ഒരു ആത്മകഥയാണ്.

ആ ചോദൃം ചോദിക്കണ്ടായിരുന്നു മാഷെ. It’s very provoking and confusing question even though the question is logically correct. The crime against you is not justifiable. Same time the question must have reviewed properly before its getting published. Our society is not matured enough to think/talk before act.

The Prophet was humiliated, insulted and tortured during his preaching days in Makkah. Once he gained control of Makkah after years of preaching, conflicts and wars...want to know what happened to his enemies?
He forgave them!!!
And after centuries, when a professor wrote something offensive, some morons went and cut off his hands. They just did the exact opposite of what Islam teaches, in the name of Islam.
Later there were rare circumstances when some people insulted prophet despite multiple warnings and were punished. But it was the medieval Era and they got what they deserved.
We cheered for Jon Snow from Game of Thrones when he executed the guy who insulted him. We didn't found it tyrannical.
I am not comparing a real life Saint with a fictional hero. Just wanted to mention an example.
It was the medieval Era and people were punished only if they continued the crime/insult even after being forgiven.
But the Era changed and then hundreds of years passed and laws of crime and punishment changed. Wars were replaced by Satyagraha.
What a Muslim should have done/should do is to first make them understand. If not, move according to law and file a complaint. Demand an apology first. If not, file a case. That's it.
Violence is only permitted either to defend oneself or in a place full of injustice. That's what Islam teaches. That's what Baghat Singh and Bose believed.
So the thing the idiots did to the professor was wrong, no matter how the professor acted. The thing that was done to him, in the name of Islam was not Islamic.

Islam does not teach tolerance at all. When a religion tells you that it is normal to cut off the hand for stealing or it is normal to stone to death for adultery, they will have no problem cutting off the hand of someone who wrote bad things about the Prophet.afterall the prophet is above everything right?
It is better to accept that Islam has its own flaws and lead a peaceful life. Just a suggestion from an ex-muslim

How's Islam believers are brainwashed easily compared to other religions is something we should all understand n evaluate
