    Have mine for couple of weeks now and play it through a dead combo amp with two 12-inch speakers. Nice and loud, clear tone; adjustable compressor nice especially for 5 string bass. I hooked it up with quality speaker cable and also decent cable for compressor foot switch. Seems well made and I like the fact that it does have ample openings in the case for air circulation. I am enjoying it and hope that it gives a decent amount of service.

    Initial impressions were good. Not massive variations in the controls but every sound you tried was useable. Can’t wait for the full review.

    Hi there! Do you think its possible to connect this yojo amp with a portable little bluetooth box (with an aux cable to big jack? I travel a lot with my van and i want to play my bass in nature without headphones😁

    Interesting cute sized.. without the real cab, is it possible to plug it into a cab simulation pedal?

    Do you think the tube is making the the sound significantly rounder and warmer? Or is contribution of the tube to the sound quality negligible? Waiting on the full review. Thanks!

      I find that I prefer the emulated tube sound I'm getting from Amplitube over what the Joyo produces. I find the tone be somewhat lacking character. It's not a massive improvement over just a basic DI IME.

      Hey Rob! It’s definitely not making it significantly warmer, but it is adding some harmonic saturation at a low level, right up until you drive it hard, at which point it is kinda like a clipping overdrive. It adds some harmonic content which people associate with warm and will help you cut through a mix a little better, but in the context of a 50w amp, I’m not sure how much it is really of use. In terms of “round” you’ll get more of that from the compressor and EQ than the tube, imo! T

    Hi Tyler. I love your videos, I can say you're one of the best youtubers here in this page.
    I wanted to ask you which one is the best pack of strings for a mustang bass (I've got the Squier CV '60s). I want a set of flats or tapes but I do not want to spend a lot of money. Hope you see this comment. TY in advance!

      GHS Precision Flats are not too expensive. Also Thomann sells flatwounds under the Harley Benton brand for I think €15 or something like that.

      Hey! Thanks for the kind words, and for watching! I’d recommend the Fender own brand flats. They come in a bit cheaper and are a really middle of the road choice that remain versatile when paired with the tone control. Importantly, they’re cheaper than most too! T

    On Thomann it's described that the frequency range starts at 10Hz. Would you agree to that?
    Cheers from Germany. I pre-ordered one too:-)

      What cab are you playing through that can reproduce 10Hz at any kind of audible volume??

    • @TylerSpicer
      @TylerSpicer  3 роки тому +1

      As Kevin says, you won’t be hearing 10hz - you’d need a bass tuned incredibly low to have that fundamental in the first place, and no cab of reasonable size is going to be able to reproduce that… I think the frequency range on the site is really a tech-spec boast for them to say that they’ve used good quality components that won’t highly colour or narrow down the frequency range. There is an argument to say that all those classic tones we search for exhibit the opposite of those characteristics, but in a more tech-centric world, I think those kinda specs all stack up on the marketing sheet!
