Easily one of the best fights in the entire series. I was literally HOOKED watching this every week. The strategy, suspense, animation and insane puppet sequences were perfect. Sakura did not get many fights but she got one of the best in the series in my opinion. Such a memorable anime fight.

Even the battle between the 3rd Hokage & Orochimaru now looks pretty much like idk, any average fight from mid-Shippuden onwards. Kishimoto did not handle 'power scaling' well. Bruh after Chiyo died and her last words, everything had come full circle. The strings were no longer attached, Sakura had no one to help her through the hard parts, she was a "full fledged Kuinoichi" now and able to fight on her own accord with her renewed strength and confidence. The first to take down an Akatsuki member, and she was just a chunin, a medic nin at that. I deadass thought she was on a generational run for female shonen women, but I guess I had my hopes too high :(

But in war, she destroyed fake Neji in less than seconds who just like Sasuke attacked from behind. She was definitely nerfed against Sasuke. And also., she was fighting sasori with less power. she was constantly saving her chakra for Byakugou seal which she awakened in war. From the moment she started training under Tsunade, she began to store chakra for forehead mark. Until she gained forehead mark in war. During this whole time, she never fought at full power even against sasori. And if U remember Sakura was shown as genjutsu type in og. Kakashi even complimented her for her genjutsu type abilities and even Sasuke complimented her in og. But Kishimoto didn't pay any attention to her in their regard. And kakashi never taught her anything regarding genjutsu even though she was a genjutsu type
My favorite fight in all of Naruto because it showed how much Sakura improved under tutorship from Lady Tsunade ( the 4th Hokage) she went from someone who could barely fight to a certified BADASS!
This fight was such a surprise. Never did I expect for Sakura to be so badass. Sadly, it's really the only moment she gets in Shippuden...but what a great fight to start the series off with!
Extra ordinary fight 👍. Sasori was the beast. But here granny Chio's fight and skills have made me think about how strong she would have been in her younger ages😯. And definitely Sakura didn't disappoint lady Tsunade's efforts.
the fact that Temari actually mention that Granny Chiyo is an important ninja in the village even hold the tittle as one of the best medical ninja and puppet master literally describe how amazing she is back in her prime era, even at that age she still manage to move and fight that fierce is insane.
like seriously, this is the best Sakura has ever been, the most entertainingly complex jutsus in the series, and Sasori is hands down the most compelling of the Akatsuki. And i am comparing him to pain and tobi, his design and techniques are significantly more creatively utilized.

I know people when it came out and all the anime's that were out at that time wanted more fast paced and what not, but Naruto could have been the greatest if it took its time. The akatsuki arc could have been longer n cooler, everything in general, cuz the world builds around Naruto I feel like one piece for example they go to the next destination and thats it. Could of been amazing, the ending felt stupid n rushed, it did make sense but the execution was off
best fight was 1v1 between Kakashi and Obito during the 4th ninja war. The flashbacks colliding with the present in such smooth transitions combine it with skillfull taijutsu clashes.
Chiyo was one of the coolest naruto characters. 10 puppets clothed in white against an army of 100. Badass. Also a touching story of a grandmother and troybled grandson
Sasori was such an insane opponent during this time of the series. The moment he began using 3rd Kazekage's jutsu, you immediately felt how dire Granny Chiyo and Sakura's situation was. The mtfk instantly took care of 2 puppets plus an arm of the opponent in the span of 2-3 attacks, that early into the fight and it was already feeling hopeless really built up the tension. Made their victory all the more satisfying to watch.
One of The most ninja-ish, taijutsu-ish, psyche-war and emotional fight in shippuden. Sakura may have just been caught in the middle with these two legends but she is the dark horse of this fight....it's just a glimpse of her growth sad that her and other female ninjas weren't utilize for more....
I don't care how bad sakura writing is this fight and every other moment when she is this determined and badass makes her my second favourite character besides itachi uchia
It's this fight right here that is so great and so sad about her character. If Kishimoto could have been more consistent with this part of character and give her more fight scenes, nobody would question her as compartive team 7 member
This moment gave me so much hope for Sakura as a character. It was such a badass moment for her and a great way to start off Shippuden...but it was honestly wasted as the series went on and tried to redeem her at the end... I will say she got her moment again in Boruto, but again its the only one.
There’s something I haven’t seen people mention when it comes to this fight: Sakura’s WAY more competent and a better fighter when Sasuke isn’t in the picture. If she just got over her obsession with Sasuke and had more to her arsenal than just being Tsunade 2.0 she would be MUCH more liked. Just imagine if she had genjutsu, earth style jutsu, and was the tactician of Team 7 like Shikamaru was for his team.
If you seen the Naruto Crescent Moon movie, the person she fights in that movie had a rose petal genjutsu that swirled around and sliced / overwhelemed / distracted the opponent. If Sakura had misdirection genjutsu (Something Kakashi should have taught her) she would land way more final punches be a more balanced fighter
