- In this video, I walk through the downtown area of historic Petaluma, sometimes known as the "Egg Basket of the World." There were many interesting sights, some old buildings and architecture that I found fascinating, as well as an old mill, and other noteworthy places. Check out Petaluma, a place I usually just drive through now to go to the beach. In the past, I came here to do some swing and country dancing. I hadn't been to downtown Petaluma in a while, so I did some exploring.
What a beautiful place to explore! Now I know where to go fabric shopping too 🙂
So good to see you here, Holly!
@@inspiredtowander Thanks!
Very interesting place. I love older architecture too. Some of the older theaters here are beautiful. They still have a stage and balcony seating. A Willy Nelson autographed guitar and a taxidermy Polar Bear. Not manyvtowns can boast that. Lol. You were making me hungry for pie and ice cresm! That mill was huge! Thank you Nanci for sharing your walk around. Very nicely done. 😀
Hi Ann, great to see you here! Thank you for watching! Yeah, the smells of good food were getting to me, and just the thought of pie and ice cream was doing a number on my brain! That polar bear seemed completely out of place! I imagine your old theaters are so interesting - both outside and inside. As always, I appreciate your support.
What a great walk around Petaluma, beautiful architecture as you stated. Another area of California I hope I get to travel to thanks, to your video.
Hi TJ, thank you for stopping by! I am so glad you enjoyed the "tour!" I do hope you can visit one day, and if you do explore Petaluma, be sure you get to Bodega Bay from there....it is a short drive to the coast. Sonoma county has so many interesting places to visit. Let me know if you ever come this way! Take care!
I love Petaluma. Thanks for sharing and Happy Wandering
Thanks for watching, RV Dawg. I really like Petaluma, too, and it's on the way to the beach! I should stop and walk around that town more often!
That walk made me hungry 😋 enjoy the project 😊
So many food choices there! Good smells all over town! Thanks for being here, Ray...and yes, am working on the project.
Awesome place thank you for sharing this 💗
Thanks for checking it out, Sandra! Good to see you here. Hope you are doing well!
Gracious. I haven't seen Petaluma in so long. I don't think we ever saw it in this detail, either! I think Petaluma used to host a big Christmas faire and they also has an annual horse parade! I do remember the amazing antique stores they had though. Thanks for this little walk down memory lane!
Thanks for taking that walk down memory lane via this video, Deb. I enjoyed my time there so much, I will definitely go back. They may indeed have a horse parade; I know they have many events there, and they are especially known for their "Butter and Eggs Parade." I did not show it in this video, but I also checked out the old Kodiak Jack's while I was exploring Petaluma....such great memories there!
@@inspiredtowander OMG I remember those old dance halls! That little town really rocked it...'back in the day'...well..back in OUR day!
Awesome,visiting in November 😊

Kristina, you noticed! I love the gnome too! Thanks for stopping by!
@@inspiredtowander I always notice Gnomes
@@TheDysonsCrazyAdventure Love the gnomes you make, Kristina! So darn cute!
I'm laughing here . . . you keep commenting about food smells! Did you ever get some food? I've eaten AND danced at that McNear's (?) place. Petaluma is a fun place to walk around and explore. I enjoyed seeing the Valentine Gnome (so cute). Hey, you didn't mention anything about CLOGGING in Petaluma! Every Thursday evening . . . year after year after year . . . good times.
I need to go back and have some food in Petaluma! LOL! And OMG, of course....CLOGGING every Thursday nite for YEARS!!! Thank you, Lilia for the reminder, and for watching and commenting. Let's go to Petaluma together and have lunch, and then get pie and ice cream! 😄
