First I want to say that I LOVE the name of your UA-cam videos! I've always been very fond of Fridays because on Friday nights I got to stay up late and watch Johnny Carson with my dad. You two are living a great life traveling to these interesting places, far away from the troubles of today's society. I sure wish I had that "Make Children Great Again"" paddle! lol. It would be a terrific conversation piece!
Enjoyed your video as usual. I love back road adventures! The lady you interviewed at Muddy Pond is part of the Guenther Family that is known for making sorghum syrup along with apple pies, cracklings and sausage. I just saw a video this past weekend where her family was interviewed by The Appalachian Channel, you tube video titled: Meet the Guenther's from Muddy Pond. I recognized the gentlemen who is the eldest son as he did demonstrations at Dollywood in the fall on how to make sorghum syrup. You will see the lady that makes the apple pies in one of the videos. I live in Georgia and always look forward to trips to Tennessee.
Looks like a fun day. I used to deliver to Mennonite folks in Scottsville, Kentucky. That was years ago and 3 careers back. They are such nice folks. I really respect and admire them.
Beautiful country for sure!!We love taking an adventure where you can find all kinds of cool places to visit!Old country stores are one of our favorite places! Thanks Mike and Karen....another informative video!!!😊
This was a great place for a video. Love seeing old barns, antiques, etc. I bet they could tell quite a few stories. Please keep this up. Nice to see so many hills, not people on top of people. Country living at its best! Thanks, my friends. Just wondering, would you ever consider coming to Ontario Canada? Maybe Niagara Falls Ontario Canada.
If you ever come across Peach pepper jelly....Get it! Its the best stuff! you get a townhouse cracker, cream cheese and peach pepper jelly!! oh my goodness. the best stuff!

I love muddy pond. Especially the General store. We only live 30 minutes from there and 15 minutes from the General store in Clark range. Wish we could have seen you.

I love places like that. Slower simplier way of life. I thought sure Mike was going back to buy another pie to take home. My husband favorite was peach. You can microwave until warm add ice cream. Oh that my be agents the Law ??😂😂 Kidding Love your videos
No, it's called Jadeite/Jadite‼️ Melamine is a cheap type of plastic like dishes. Jadeite is a more expensive collectable, and looks more like the white Milk glass.
Mike and Karen, really enjoyed your video! Very interesting and thank you for taking me along with you! That apple pie looked so yummy and delicious! Loved the beautiful scenery too! Hello Big T!❤️🐾🐾❤️
Loved the video. This is what my husband and I do here at home and on vacation. We try to stay away from the hustle and bustle tourist things and head out on the back roads. Homemade things and food are always so much better. The foods are fresh, usually no preservatives and made with love ❤️ Thanks for sharing. Loved the quick cameo of my man, Big T. 😊 👋
Fine folks! Have watched them in cades cove many times, their sorghum is really good! Just recently ordered a pint of their blackberry honey and it is really good as well!
Thank you for showing us all the places you visit. We make trips to Tennessee all the time and have your suggestions in mind. We have an RV so it's been fun following you.
If you get a chance visit, Granville Tn. Its near Carthage Tn. They have a 2 story General Store. They have a Mayberry Festival the fall. Then you can check out Defeated Creek Campground. Its on Cordell Hull Lake.
This place is on my bucket list! The mennonites always have great baked goods. If you ever see their tomato bread.....you gotta try it! It'll make your tongue slap your brains out!! 🤣😋😋
What a great adventure! Question? Have y’all reviewed any flea markets, what about The Great Smokies Flea Market off of I-40, there’s also one out side of Bryson City NC called Uncle Bill’s, would be great to see some of those!
Enjoyed the video guys ! My Mom made apple flips like those and were sought out buy many lol ! we will check that place out our next trip that way ! thanks for sharing your adventures with us !!
We have been there!!! Found it one year when we were doing the longest yard sale on US 127, in August each year, runs from Michigan to Alabama.690 miles long. The burgers and fries are pretty good at the antique diner place. After the diner on 127 there is a huge grassy lot that is full of antique cars, ( not for sale) all makes and models from 50-60, curious if you passed it.? It’s cool. Such quiet peaceful scenery.Enjoyed the vlog👍🏻
Did you try one of Appalachian stack cakes from the place you got that pie? I’ve not tried them but was told they’re worth the trip. Curious to know what you thought if you tried them.
New to the channel and trying to watch all of your videos. You guys have me looking at Travatos now.😂 What kind of hoody is Mike wearing in this video?
My son wants me and Richard to do what your doing. We love romping the mountains. Only problem is my husband likes to talk a lot. We would end up staying at everyone’s house for dinner that we meet. 😂
Ok I'm just gonna say it. It's important to ACTUALLY support these local small businesses. Buying one milkshake or one fried hand pie, between 2 people is not what keeps these small stores alive. Don't be so tight, if money is such an issue then maybe you should switch to reviewing Dollar Tree or Walmart. Time it so you are hungry when you visit these country stores or buy some unique items to review. Lead by example.
You don’t know if they bought anything else because they don’t show everything the are very good supporters of Tennessee small businesses and general and they could have walked out with nothing…
