Yosemju isn’t an amazing deck, but it was playable in SHVI format, which it’s at least a better deck since it can work alright as a rogue deck in that format. I do wish though that decks like this would be saved for history of jank.
@@dadocta5168 Card of demise coming out was pretty huge ngl. There were a lot of variants of decks that took advantage of it, like kozmos qli and stun earlier, but its probably just a matter of finding time to show it off.
As someone who as played mf yang zing, i want to add some information about the deck: there are two variants of mf yang zing, a 40 card list as shown in this video as well as a 60 card variant. Both variants end on the same end board but there are a few small differences that make the 60 card list better. the 40 card deck list has an about ~63% chance to full combo with the rest of the hands being almost always dead. Meanwhile the 60 card variant has a ~60% full combo chance but the chance to brick is reduced to ~20%. (If you can end on denglong pass, your hand is playable. Just a yang zing or mf set is a brick) Engines that were played in the 60 card variant besides terrortop were the D/D engine (Contract, kepler, lamia) and the dino engine (ovi, misc, jurrac). The 60 card variant also allows you to play better ratios of your cards. I really got tilted when i saw MBT only play 2 zefraniu. Another really fun variant of yang zing or mf yang zing is to play them with true kings. They really have a nice synergie with all of the other cards. Zoodiak yang zing was also a thing. But only because zoodiak were standalone pretty busted so it didn't matter what else you play in the deck. Anyways #BringBackDenglong
I'm pleasantly surprised to see Metal Yang Zing pop up. Loved the deck. I also enjoyed seeing Yosenju get smashed. People coped on that deck *so* much.
18:00 Joseph going through almost half his deck, not counting the PoD banished ones, in one turn is nuts. I get that’s how it is these days but I’m old enough to remember the origins of Yugioh w/T-set and pass being the height of strategy, lol
Not making chidori in game 2 and instead making Castel has got to be one of the most small brain moments that hopefully gets highlighted at the end of the year in compilation
Tbf Cimo had a chance in Game 2 if he made Lightning Chidori instead of Castel. The reason being that Chidori can just put back one of the set cards on summon and then stack one of the scales resulting in much, much less card advantage being generated by MBT. Cimo definitely threw Game 2.
That’s also why people would even bother to play Yugioh as opposed to any other card game though. Almost everything else is “what if we removed lands but kept mana from Magic?” Whereas Yugioh is “what if there is no mana?”
Indeed. Going into Castel was a serious misplay since it only hits one card for 2 mats while Chidori can hit up to 3 (including a Set card on summon) without recharging mats. I was so mad when Cimo misplayed that hard....
it physically hurt to see cimo play castel over chidori. the only upside is that castel has 100 more attack. chidori could have spun the trap AND a pendulum monster within the same turn, and spinning the former stacks it on top of the deck, leaving it as essentially a dead draw. if he spun volflame, all MBT could do was either put it back as a scale or flat-out pass. both cases means he loses to cimo topdecking a monster.
Only the level 4s work that way (except the pendulum monsters), the level 10s and 6s (except the handtrap one) work in the opposite way where they return to hand during the end turn if special summoned that turn
Yugioh tends to be extremely strict about its supertypes (except Toons lol). That's why there are like 200 monsters that can equip to other monsters, but only like 13 Union monsters. As far as I know there are only two Spirit monsters in the entire game that can be special summoned, and they're both Ritual monsters
