I had to laugh when you said 'old Warmoth guitar', I remember when they came out. (1980) I had a '59 Les Paul Jr. in 1980, wish I still had it. Keep rockin, Phillipa!

I heard the sound difference between the different picks. I've found using heavy picks, thick picks causes me to break strings quicker playing metal. I use Dunlop Medium picks, the thin picks break. The Medium's are perfect. Thundermother is great, disappointing to read about the 4 members leaving. I hope Filippa can find other members to help Thundermother to keep going. They're a great Rock'NRoll band. I'm a straight up metalhead, Thundermother has my attention. VERY talented ladies \m/

Your Explorer sounds fantastic on your new Heat Wave album, a number of really cool riffs on it. What pickups do you have in it ? Stock ? It seems to be fitted with Classic '57+ in the bridge position from factory. Keep rockin' \m/

At least the other 50% of essential information is unfortunately missing:
    What speakers/cabinets are you using??

I get the pick deal i like thin against heavy strings with lots of distortion, and rhythm. Heavy fir picking and lead....
