      jydn how much air did put on it? Having too much air can make it feel firm. But keep on play with it, it’ll get better. I read other people reviews, each person has different time frame of when it took them to break the ball in. Most said it took them about 2 months but maybe they used it more often.

    • @josh8676
      @josh8676 4 роки тому

      It could be because you bought the "knockoff" version of it. It's technically not a "knockoff" because both versions of the Wilson Evolution are sold at the same price, but they perform and feel different. The bad version feels cheaper. You can tell the difference between the two by looking at how the break in and the lettering. When the good version breaks in, the gold around the lettering wears completely off and the lettering is just black. When the bad version breaks in, most of the gold around the lettering stays on and the paint on the lettering wears off significantly giving it an unappealing look. Also, it has indented grooves and the lettering around the needle is deeply engraved (the words are also a little different). If you want to make sure you are getting the correct Wilson Evolution, check the ball before you buy in the store or buy it from Eastbay.

    Which OUTDOOR (or INDOOR/OUTDOOR hybrid ball) Wilson ball feels/comes closest to Evo NXT? Or can I *occasionally* use the Evo NXT in outdoor environments, too? Will outdoor use (even if only occasionally/rarely!) immediately damage the ball surface?

    • @EverythingBasketballs
      @EverythingBasketballs  3 роки тому

      Nike or Jordan Hypergrip feel pretty good for outdoor used. Currently I’m playing with Wilson fiba 3x3 game ball on a very rough surface and it’s holding up pretty good. The only downside of it is the ball size but the weight is the same as the size 7 ball.
      If you play on a nicer outdoor court then you have a lot of options. You can pretty play with any hybrid outdoor/indoor balls.

    • @thespiritofmorpheus
      @thespiritofmorpheus 3 роки тому +1

      @@EverythingBasketballs Thank You for answering! So, the "FIBA 3x3" is Wilson's closest outdoor/hybrid counterpart to the indoor-only "Evo NXT"? What about Wilson "NBA Authentic Series Indoor/Outdoor" basketball, Wilson "Forge Pro", Wilson "NCAA Replica" or Wilson "NCAA Limited" ? All the mentioned balls are designated by Wilson for both indoor & outdoor play - hence, they're all hybrids. How do they compare to the Evo NXT ? (I'll buy a hybrid-designated ball anyway - no ball designated for outdoor-only environments...)
      I'm also re-asking my question about using the indoor-only *Evo NXT* on outdoor environments: will even *occasional* or rare use immediately damage the ball surface/degrade ball performance?
      Thanks!

      @@thespiritofmorpheus not necessarily closest feeling to the evo nxt because that ball is super light weight and most outdoor balls r heavier than the evo nxt. The 3x3 ball has a nice feel to it for outdoor ball and I forgot to mention the new adidas all-court 2.0 has a nice feel too. But I don’t know how the adidas is going to hold up because it’s so new. I know that 3x3 ball so far is holding up nicely. If you don’t care about the size then 3x3 is a good choice. If u do care then go with Nike hypergrip, adidas all court 2.0, or tf-500.

    • @thespiritofmorpheus

      @@dru9918 Thanks for Clarification!
      I was on the brink of purchasing two separate balls for indoor (Evo NXT) and outdoor (some different Wilson ball, designated as a hybrid ball) use, respectively - what I don't really want to do now, because my budget is limited...
      My *real* concern though, is not about spending too much money, but more about *feel/shot consistency* - two different balls with different feel, weight distribution, grip or other differing characteristics would certainly f*** up my shooting skills, because the "feel" is not consistent and I would have to repeatedly adapt/readjust my shooting technique and muscle memory every time I switch between two balls!
      That's why I want to use the same ball (Evo NXT) for both environments, despite being intended for indoor-only use...
      (The town in which I live has *extremely* limited options for playing basketball - only a few courts outside and indoor training only once or twice a week for a couple of hours... and that's it! :( )

    hello.sir.do you find it that all the Wilson use the technology about pebbled and the deep channel. Which makes the ball inconsistent. I have gg7x and evolution. I like the evolution feeling but I really don't like evolution bounce. Is the Evo nxt channel not deep? is the Evo nxt consistent like gg7x? I may buy it if it is consistent.

    • @rajonyu692
      @rajonyu692 4 роки тому

      the inconsistency problem is all about the wide and deep channel. Soft can effect consistent but not too much than the channel. I hate the evolution and all my friends hate it because when we dribble it, it always stuck bouncing at the rim. Which makes it very weird. Also when we shoot it. It still feel wired at the air. We are in Asia and many people like gg7x than evolution.

    • @EverythingBasketballs
      @EverythingBasketballs  4 роки тому +1

      If that the case you wouldn’t like the Evo. It is too light for you since you get so used to the GG7x. The bounce on the Evo is more consistent than the evolution and the channels is not as deep. And also it is a well constructed ball, a lot better than the evolution. With the evolution, the build is not consistent, sometime you get bad quality and messy ball.
      Try to look into the Wilson NCAA official game ball, I think you would like that ball a lot more than the Evo and evolution. The grip technology of the Evo is kinda copy some from the NCAA Official Game Ball. It feels more solid and not as soft as the evolution and not as light feel as the Evo. If you are able to find it in Asia may check it out first to see how it feels and to see if you like it or not. The price on it is the same as the Evo.

I'm a sport basketball teacher and all my amateur league use molten so I have to practice with molten, but I had Wilson evolution before which I really like the soft feeling but I hate it's slippery when the ball has much more sweat and the ball is always inconsistent,the solution ball is litter better but still same inconsistency and my friends would rather use Spalding tf1000 legacy which I think is less than evolution but more consistent. Maybe shallow channel ball is better for us. I don't like molten bg5000 ethier. Gl7x is better and Spalding official game ball is the best.

      Jon Pride no. Not at all. The Evo nxt feel like the regular men size basketball. The nxt is a better ball than the evolution. The major complaint about this ball is how light this ball feel and expensive.

      Everything Basketball okay. I really want to get it but I don’t like that the ball is lighter. I play in a few men’s leagues and they all play with the evolution which I have but I was thinking about getting the nxt but if it’s lighter I don’t think it’s for me

      Jon Pride yeah bro. I don’t even use it like that anymore. Usually I bring to basketballs to the gym, when we play games I let people pick which ball to play with and almost all the time people would pick the evolution over the Evo and if they picked the Evo just to try it out then they would switch ball after the first game. But don’t give me wrong, this ball is nice and well build after all it does have good reviews from other players but for me its just that one flaw that make me disliked this ball.
