I have a fully broken in one and it's quite nice. Like the bounce, the shooting and the moisture absorption (which is not quiet as good as the nba ball). Perfect ball for sweaty summer indoor sessions
Thanks for sharing your experience with this ball.
Roughly how many hours of play would you say it took to break it in properly?
@@paddyg4377 I didn’t track the hours. Usually I play for an hour to an hour and half and 3 to 4 times per week. It took around 2.5 to 3 months to break in. But breaking it in process is depend on how u used it. If you play full court using this ball then it probably take lesser time to break in.
@@EverythingBasketballsthanks bro 🫡
@@paddyg4377 around 20-30. Spalding NBA Game Ball took forever 😂
That Molten Series(bg5000,Bg4500,
Bg3800) Is the Same series that They used last 2019 Fiba World Cup that they are using in today's 2023 fiba world cup
One of my favorites aside from the Spalding Official Game Ball, also more forgiving in the hands. Becomes more grippy when there’s moisture but most of the pick up players will not use it if there a Wilson Evolution bouncing around. 😂
Deal with the same issue bro 🤣
I don't know if it's because my ball isn't broken in yet, but it feels really light compared to an Evolution. Was shooting this weekend back and forth between the BG5000 and the Evolution and the weight difference was noticable.
The evolution fucking sucks. I have no idea why people like playing with that slippery shit. They just like it because it’s plush.
@@Nelson_Ocampo Evolution is a heavier ball.
Robert Greene wrote in the 48 Laws Of Power that anything of value is worth paying for, so if this molten leather ball truly is that great, then don't be cheap and just pay full price, stop trying to look for discounted molten ball, you will just waste your money on a fake
If molten make a bg5000 ball with GL7 seed it will be a good ball
Pls make review for BG4500 vs Wilson Evolution😊

Was hoping you'd make this video to look back on it as it broke in more! In the UK I just bought one for £84 which is about $106, so a good price compared to Wilson's and Spalding's ball which are around £200 ($250!!! wayyyy too much money that's crazy). I was mainly just curious about trying out a leather ball like the pros use, haven't had a chance to break it in yet but out the box it's crazy slick lol. I like the pattern on the Molten balls it's better to see how it rotates in the air when people shoot. Anyone know how long it takes to break in?
AGE 41 HERE...I was mainly just curious about trying out a leather ball like the pros use
@SFCHEN-qg8bn 41 is still young. If you used to composite leather then you might not the full leather basketball like the pro use. But you still can give it a try.

molten | BG5000 FIBA SPECIAL EDITION in my room...shooting in the air and catch...no dribble...over a year by now
washed with soap and water once coz of COVID-19...hope the leather is fine...any advice?
CAN I REALLY WASH THE LEATHER? LUV THE DESIGN LUV UR SHOW...
I tried it in Japan and there was one on display that I think was broken in already and it felt great. Ended up buying on in the Philippines for around $120.
I'm still trying to break in my ball, but it does feel really good to dribble. It used to be really slippery when shooting though, but most of that has gone away.
I probably only have about 10 hrs on it so far.
@@Nelson_Ocampo yeah this ball is feel a lot nicer when fully break in.
Hey EB a fan from the land of Americans here just wanted to know more about the molten. I have a GF7X and since I’m from the states everyone thinks that it’s the real deal professional ball but I don’t think so. My question is 1.) what is the difference from the GFx line and the BG thousand line do professional leagues use both models?
Trust me the gf7 x is way better!
@@Bob-exponentiel I think so to but I want to know the difference between the two. Which one is the “Professional version” and which one is just the regular high school version.
how do you clean your bg5000?
What's up, Pu? Where are you located? Where do you usually play basketball at?
I have the BG5000, and nobody ever wants to use mine when we run. 😂😂😂
They don't know what's good. Every clone has the Evolution with Yellow letters. Hahaha
They think my ball is a cheap Walmart ball.
i wanna try one now
@@geraldGUMP I'm at an age where I want things to last. Who knows how long I have left to play this beautiful game? I may as well get the best that I can get.
Has this been updated since you said its too slippery
Once it break in, the slipperiness is not bad at all compared to other basketballs. As for now, the bounciness is sometime a little too much for me. I basically have to try to get used it everytime I play with it. Maybe i should put less air in it.
@@EverythingBasketballsI ended up letting out a tiny bit of air on mine and now I love the bounce.
Euroleague ball or bg5000?
how long did it take to break in? mine is still very slippery.
How long did you played with it?
About 60-70 hours of playing I believe.
i have splading tack soft .doesnt bounce well xD
I used to hate the updated molten range but after being gifted one (bg 4000) by a friend it has really grown on me.
Maybe it’s because it improves a lot after being worn in? The grip feels very weird to begin with but it ends up feeling like a leather ball with a minimally tacky grip (perfect for me since I have dry hands)
I swear this ball is smaller than a typical size 7 though which seems to go in alot more compared to my other bballs.
I compared it to the higher bg4500 and I think that ball is terrible compared to the bg4000. It’s more expensive and heavier/ spongier in a bad way.
All my friends would rather play with the bg 4000 over the 4500
I do agreed with you that the ball feels small in hand but it is a regulated size ball and i even measure the circumference of the ball.
2023 FIBA ASIA,AMERICA,EUROPE,AFRICA U16 and U18 using Molten BG4500
I like the BG4500. My son uses it.
It probably is the one that feels closest to an Evolution, so it may be too soft/spongy for some. I think if people like the Evolution, they'd like the BG4500. If they prefer something less cushy, then maybe the BG4000.
@@Nelson_Ocampothe cusion of bg4000 sucks, unlike the bg4500 it feels like evolution, that's why i would like to see a review of bg4500 vs evolution because they quite perform with some similarities.
