In the ballet world there are many technically supreme dancers however the truly legendary stars have something technique can’t reach. Some of them weren’t even the best dancers but they had something that mesmerized the audience. Call it star power, charisma, or fate but Hyunjin has that extra something to mark him an extraordinary artist. I think it is how closely hyunjin connects his body to his heart and soul.

He was scouted by a jype staff and he had no dancing experience and he wasnt a good dancer when he was a trainee. It got to a point where he hated dancing but it wasnt until another trainee told him that he could debut with js his looks and dat made Hyunjin angry but also motivated him to practice harder bcz he didnt want to debut with js his looks. And from then on, he got to love dancing. You can even feel the passion he has for it now than when he was a trainee back then.
He didn't actually hate dancing at that point, he said he was scolded so much for his dancing to the point he should have hated it. But Hyunjin is truly such a hardworker
I think a recent interview (in a print mag) he mentioned that when he “auditioned” (I know he was scouted but he still had to demonstrate something to the staff for potential) he mentioned that he really couldn’t do anything so he just posed and clapped a bit. It’s cute to imagine it and so inspiring that he really worked from zero his dance skills and now he just really impresses everyone.
He is always into the little details in his dancing. In his dance break u can see his legs moves follow by his upper body. Basically his body feels every beat of the music. Can't wait to see his unfiltered aotm to see it all ☺️

Honestly i can see the whole group is more them able to be artist of the month in studio choom, but i can see why it was Hyunjin that is the first member to acomplish this !! When he dances on the dance practice or the stage is so mesmerizing that you don’t see the time pass by , that kind of performance not everyone that can do that !! We stays are very proud of him even when he thinks about if he can’t do it because of the pressure that he still hás on his shoulder !! He’s a performer if a lot of adjetives like : imaculate, powerful , delicate when need it etc !!! Like one time Freddy Mercury said : i’m not a artist i’m a performer !!
Hyunjin rarely made mistakes on his dance performance either on stage or in studio or his fancams. He is a very consistent dancer with skills that's why he is a main dancer material. Studio choom got their criterias, so proud Hyunjin pass it with his hardworking attitude for a dancer.
He's unbelievable, majestic, gracious, sexy, elegant, dangerously talented and handsome as hell. He's unreal, I can't believe someone like him exist, but he IS real! Oh my God, I just am so proud of him.
This man was born to dance… music flows in his veins. His musicality, control and instinct is incredible…. his obsession that he sang about in Red Lights pays off in the most wonderfully ethereal and unique way. He reminds me of Bi Rain a little yet is totally in a class of his own. I think the only competition Hyunjin has at this point is himself. His passion and love for dance is evident in every little detail and movement, I think that’s why he is just mesmerising when he dances. I feel like Hyunjin is a fast learner because as he said he has no zero dance skill at the past, then look at him now.And he's good at painting despite a tight schedule,he's vocals is unique and also can rap in a short period of time to practice,and also know how to cook, even hes an idols and at work most of the time, how can he practice cooking? Fun facts: Hyunjin actually learn dancing with the help of Lee sister, Chaeyeon and Chaeryeong from itzy when they were trainee in jype. He mention it somewhere that Chaeyeon taught him some basic step until he familiarize the movements and how dance works. It is also a fact that he doesn't have talent when JYPE staff casted him. So he work hard to be recognize as a dancer and not only having a pretty face/being visual in the group.

When I imagine what angels in heaven look like...I imagine them looking like Hyunjin and Felix. Two of THE most beautiful angelic fairylike human beings on this planet! he had no dancing experience before being scouted. when speaking abt his experience w dancing, he's referencing his trainee days - he was heavily criticized and even said at one point he should hate dance (bc of how much scolding he got) but he thankfully fell in love w it instead and look at him now; he's truly proof u can do whatever u set ur mind to.
People always compliment his looks (I mean he’s so fucking gorgeous), and people always ignore the talent and work he has for his job. He takes it so seriously! He’s definitely my ultimate bias and the first time I watched this and all of his other covers, I was absolutely struck! Alongside from his beauty, I kept getting chills and butterflies as I watched him dance. Hwang Hyunjin is definitely my favorite kpop idol and he absolutely means the world to me!
He was actually street scouted by a JYPE staff and had no experience in dancing! He got scolded a lot as a trainee and was even told by another trainee that he could get by with just his looks so it made him upset but more motivated to get better!
This performance was sharp, sexy, powerful, hot…you can literally see the sweat sling off his head during the stage. Some of those moves stole my breath because they were so catlike. Hyunjin worked incredibly hard and I appreciate it in 4k every single time.

So many spots I had to hit that 5-sec back button and rewatch a few times to watch the movement with fascination. 8:23 was particularly fascinating--it had all of the established movements, control, etc, but that little patch is so fascinating (I keep using that word) especially because his control was so next level that his torso, everything above the hips, stayed in place while his legs did those amazing maneuvers. He has worked so hard and it shows, even if he didn't get recognized with this honor. Stay knows and happy for him and for another way to show the world what he can do.
When I watched his eloquence, I was mesmerized. Floored! -(I've watched the performance countless times and there are still movements that had been missed, and continue to see different articulations of his body which I have no words to describe)-! There have only been a few dancers with the drive that Hyunjin has, Lay from Exo, dang so many in the Kpop industry but few that reach out and grab you in your gut like he does. Oh yes , and (since I'm old as Dirt) the power in his movements remind me of Rudolf Nureyev -the Russian ballet dancer-. Driven but also that certain something that is undefinable. After his moment of completion in the dance he leaves the spirit of anyone witnessing float into a sublime sense of euphoria. As a Stay, Oh yeah, I'm so proud of him, period.
I love seeing your reactions so much because you guys break down everything but then also FREAK OUT with me and get REALLY excited as well. I had to pause like 20 times with his AOTM and I am normally not a big pauser! He looked SO good, it was absolutely another side he showed us. Every move was meticulous and you KNOW it takes a crazy amount of body strength and control and he made it look like it was the easiest thing in the world to do. I rewound his "helicopter" move SO much trying to figure out just what he was doing.

This was an absolute ride!!!!......and yes he was scolded when he was a trainee, and he really hated dancing...it was only when he made a few friends in the dance classes he attended and they told him to not study the scolding and just enjoy dancing did he start to really take it seriously and to express himself.....and the the reason why he is so obsessed with all the things he does is because he does not want to be known for his looks alone....he speaks about this in two kids room when he talks to Changbin....😊😊😊....

Hyunjin came a long way, from a trainee who was criticised for not able to dance to now, artist of the month. His dancing has improved so so much, his dance move, stage presence, expression, his stare,... are just amazing!, all his hard work paid off. Hwaiting hyunjinee 💗
When he talks about not being able to dance, he is talking about trainee days. Hyunjin was scouted on the street and had not been training for any of this before that, and early in his trainee days, some trainees would tell him that he 'didn't have to worry, because he could debut just based on his looks'. He's said before that he did not like that all and he worked extra hard to prove himself as a dancer so no one could say it was just because of looks. His hardwork obviously paid off, as we've seen since SKZ's early days. And he only gets better every day as he continues to work on his craft and learn new dance styles to fill out his repertoire.

When I imagine what angels in heaven look like...I imagine them looking like Hyunjin and Felix. Two of THE most beautiful angelic fairylike human beings on this planet! Hyunjin's talents are phenomenal and they're not only natural talents that were dwelling deep inside him when he didn't even know it, but talents he's worked incredibly hard to perfect. he had no dancing experience before being scouted. when speaking abt his experience w dancing, he's referencing his trainee days - he was heavily criticized and even said at one point he should hate dance (bc of how much scolding he got) but he thankfully fell in love w it instead and look at him now; he's truly proof u can do whatever u set ur mind to.
People always compliment his looks (I mean he’s so fucking gorgeous), and people always ignore the talent and work he has for his job. He takes it so seriously! He’s definitely my ultimate bias and the first time I watched this and all of his other covers, I was absolutely struck! Alongside from his beauty, I kept getting chills and butterflies as I watched him dance. Hwang Hyunjin is definitely my favorite kpop idol and he absolutely means the world to me!
I just remembered their red lights song talks about being obsessed with their work or passion.
He was actually street scouted by a JYPE staff and had no experience in dancing! He got scolded a lot as a trainee and was even told by another trainee that he could get by with just his looks so it made him upset but more motivated to get better!
This performance was sharp, sexy, powerful, hot…you can literally see the sweat sling off his head during the stage. Some of those moves stole my breath because they were so catlike. Hyunjin worked incredibly hard and I appreciate it in 4k every single time.

Hyunjin has proven that we love him not only for his visuals but his talent too. Dancing, singing, rapping, beads crafting (he made beads bracelets for his SKZ members), drawing (his drawing of Kkami is really good) and a very good cook too aside from Lee Know and Felix.

When Hyunjin dances I can fell the music even if I don’t heat it. The bass gets even more intense.
So many spots I had to hit that 5-sec back button and rewatch a few times to watch the movement with fascination. 8:23 was particularly fascinating--it had all of the established movements, control, etc, but that little patch is so fascinating (I keep using that word) especially because his control was so next level that his torso, everything above the hips, stayed in place while his legs did those amazing maneuvers. He has worked so hard and it shows, even if he didn't get recognized with this honor. Stay knows and happy for him and for another way to show the world what he can do.

There have only been a few dancers with the drive that Hyunjin has, Lay from Exo, dang so many in the Kpop industry but few that reach out and grab you in your gut like he does. Oh yes , and (since I'm old as Dirt) the power in his movements remind me of Rudolf Nureyev -the Russian ballet dancer-. Driven but also that certain something that is undefinable. After his moment of completion in the dance he leaves the spirit of anyone witnessing float into a sublime sense of euphoria.

I love seeing your reactions so much because you guys break down everything but then also FREAK OUT with me and get REALLY excited as well. I had to pause like 20 times with his AOTM and I am normally not a big pauser! He looked SO good, it was absolutely another side he showed us. Every move was meticulous and you KNOW it takes a crazy amount of body strength and control and he made it look like it was the easiest thing in the world to do. I rewound his "helicopter" move SO much trying to figure out just what he was doing.

This was an absolute ride!!!!......and yes he was scolded when he was a trainee, and he really hated dancing...it was only when he made a few friends in the dance classes he attended and they told him to not study the scolding and just enjoy dancing did he start to really take it seriously and to express himself.....and the the reason why he is so obsessed with all the things he does is because he does not want to be known for his looks alone....he speaks about this in two kids room when he talks to Changbin....😊😊😊....

Hyunjin came a long way, from a trainee who was criticised for not able to dance to now, artist of the month. His dancing has improved so so much, his dance move, stage presence, expression, his stare,... are just amazing!, all his hard work paid off. Hwaiting hyunjinee 💗
When he talks about not being able to dance, he is talking about trainee days. Hyunjin was scouted on the street and had not been training for any of this before that, and early in his trainee days, some trainees would tell him that he 'didn't have to worry, because he could debut just based on his looks'.
He's said before that he did not like that all and he worked extra hard to prove himself as a dancer so no one could say it was just because of looks. His hardwork obviously paid off, as we've seen since SKZ's early days. And he only gets better every day as he continues to work on his craft and learn new dance styles to fill out his repertoire.
