The only question I have is is there an extra fee to do this tour? Also I think this is a great idea to open up more to see. But I feel also that it is unfair to only open it up to this particular tour. What about self guided tours?

I would expect an extra fee. You're getting a guided tour by a knowledgeable guide who can answer questions and direct your attention to things you might miss. As far as self guided tours much of that sure looked like it would certainly be open to self guided, that's why the plexiglass barriers and such. But I tend to agree that unless there are safety or security reasons for excluding anything on this tour it should probably be accessible for self guided tours.

@@HadToChangeMyName_UA-camSucks my thing is you get guided tours for free after purchasing the actual ticket. I've been here so I know. I'm wondering if this specific tour requires extra payment. And if so how much cause there is a such thing as too much

@@southernwolfgaming -- Well if it were an exorbitant fee I'd object to it, but I haven't gone to their website to find out, next time out of town relatives come in maybe we'll find out because that's one of the places I always take them. I've never done the guided tours, I like roaming about freely so I have no idea what's involved in all that.

@@HadToChangeMyName_UA-camSucks you like me with that. I love self guided tours. I wish the clamogore was still there. It would make what you have to pay to get in so much more worth it.

@@HadToChangeMyName_UA-camSucks I tend to agree that if it's too much i wont pay. I'm pretty sure I'm the reason they cut off their comment section cause after I posted how much I disagreed with the decision to get rid of the clamogore they turned off comments. Lol. I absolutely love both vessels but I think it would be nice to have a third vessel there as well. Also I wouldn't recommend the fort Sumter tour cause it costs way too much and there isn't anything to do when you get over there.

You seem to have a great production team, these videos always look great, but you've only got a bit over 3K subscribers (and I'm one) and in 6 hours you got 25 views and 2 comments. Ryan Szimanski has become a bit of a star because he's doing it right, he's got almost 160K subscribers, I just watched a live interview on his channel and he had over 500 folk watching live, after watching this I looked again at his video and within a half hour it had been viewed over 1000 times and the comment section is growing fast. He gives us tours of the ship, explains what and why and how, he interviews people who served on the ship, he even goes to other museums and does the same for them, he's done videos on your museum and I suspect it was probably pretty successful advertising for you, for my donations to you it sure was. I lived in Charleston for 20 years and I've lived in SC but quite some distance from Charleston for 20+ more years. I'd pretty much forgotten you though I visited numerous times when I lived there. I remembered you through Ryan and became a subscriber and donor. Advertising tours and events is OK, but entertaining people will get you more attention from those of us who enjoy doing these tours, or at least would enjoy watching interesting videos on the grand vessels you have at your fingertips. I think you're missing a large part of your potential viewers and supporters.
