Makes sense to me. Salty crispy dipped in sweet creamy. Same sort of formula as salted nuts with ice cream. If you'd like to cause a stir, put custard in a mayonnaise jar and eat it with a spoon. :)

DT looks so shattered here and not his usual self, even mildly distraught at times...His young daughter had spent the better part of that week in the hospital (including a stay in the ICU), coinciding with his first shooting night on 'Des'. He'd been commuting back and forth from the set to the hospital and learning his lines for the next day while sitting in hospital with his wife and daughter. And then he had to fulfill his obligations at this con even though he clearly didn't really feel like being there. Bless him, always the consummate professional. Thank God she was OK in the end. ❤
pairing sweet and salty is actually a great thing. i bet the ancient romans would have loved your chicken and chocolate, since they would sometimes eat their chicken with honey i bet they'd of loved chocolate
Well that's normal for most big eating scenes, particularly if you have to do multiple takes, you can't just have them constantly injesting food over and over till you get the scene.
@@chrispy3369 Actors don't have to play characters with the same sexual orientation they have. That's why it's ACTING. He was great as Gandalf and in Vicious. He's a great actor. Ditto for Derek Jacobi. Both would be great as The Doctor. Of course, Derek Jacobi has already played the Master.
@@robinlillian9471 true, look at Neil Patrick Harris in himym. He absolutely loved playing Barney. Derek could maybe play a cameo of the doctor, like Luke Hemsworth when he played Thor in Thor ragnorok.
@Ian Robert Davies let’s not get ahead of ourselves here. Then again RTD is helming this era so I expect him to showcase what is not being said onscreen on the doctor’s omnisexuality.
I need to know really what coconut cakes are because ive tried looking it up to no avail of clarity and I really want to make the same fish fingers and custard Matt had on set! Does anyone have insight into this?
I would guess spongecake cut into fingers covered in a thin layer of icing that stays softish, and then rolled in toasted dessicated coconut coloured to look like the coating on the outside of fish fingers. Along the lines of an English Madeleine but not using jam to stick on the coconut as that would show through and look wrong.
I love how after all these years they knew the name of the guy who was responsible for cleaning that up
Phill Shellard, for those interested
My school stopped giveing us fish fingers and custard because me and a few friends did it together and it was amazing
Same here. You have my respect

Honestly really nice combo, a bit like chicken and chocolate (listen, I've had some really weird parties alright)
Who eats at a party
Just sounds like the typical stoner meal 😂

No because I would love to see Matt and David host a podcast together
I wonder what the tenth doctor’s reaction would have been to the whole fish fingers and custard thing.
If I remember right, John Simm said he spit the chicken or turkey? out in the End of Time, as well.

I loved this it was great to be at it and be a part of it
Has anyone else noticed that Matt's socks have little flowers on them? How cute
I've had fish fingers and custerd and it is not to bad
Matt fidgets a lot....can't sit still..... love that about him
Sir Ian Mckellen would be a cool doctor. Just my opinion though.
A gay doctor??? That could be interesting.

Guess you need some cream/whip, mix it with coconut flakes and then fill it in hollow cakes. Don't ask me how to do the hollow cake lol.
Why not eat actual fish fingers? We don't have custard here in Finland so I eat them with vanilla sauce. It's not bad at all. :)
Maria Stephens I think coconut cakes are a cake that taste or contain coconut
Look up a recipe for coconut cake. 😊

The worst part is it tastes good

It’s a weird looking combo like Oreos and Peanut Butter but some people actually enjoy it.
are you mary or lindsy(?) ?
hahaha
Alan Cummings!
Undignified? Really? Wasn't that whole sequence literally just Matt just spitting foods out on camera anyway?
