- Sharing this video on how to clean and replace the EGR components.
Every brand of car has an EGR system similar to Honda/Acura. EGR together with PCV valve recirculates gasses inside the engines to REDUCE harmful emissions to the environment.

Thanks this is awesome, only second video I seen on this , I'm working on an 04 odyssey had 0505 code the idle air control valve , put new one on ,cleaned throttle body etc , car had an idol problem ,was going up and down between 900 & 1500 rpm , car has been off road for 2 years , but still get code coming back 😢 haven't been able to drive it yet do to no insurance, there is a computer learn process after you disconnect the battery though , anyways thanks will try this and see if it helps out 🍻

I guess you are wrong, @4:14 the bottom ist the same, only difference is your old EGR on the laeft got the gasket still attached. Actually no need to replace an EGR as long their is no Check engine light. Mine came up too on my Odyssey, since I am in Germany and it is poor to getting parts for it, I cleaned it in a hyper sonic bath, done. Greetings from Germany nice Job.

I have a 2001 Acura MDX and my check engine light is on, it gives me this code P1399, if I clean or replace the EGR would that make the light go away? (I did everything you did in this video changed the gaskets and clean out the soot also I changed the spark plugs and ignition coils)
What’s the gasket called? I can’t find it anywhere for my 2012 mdx 3.7
What you cleaned up did not look like the EGR valve you showed. I must have missed something there...
How much lb ft torque you use to tighten while putting back the cover ?
9.7 ft./lbs.
The newer Acuras and Hondas don't have those ports on top like that.
Can this cause poor MPG, if it is clogged ?
At 1:54 where do you buy that and also what is it called exactly. I have an 2008 Honda Pilot. and cand find the name for that gasket

Where's your egr pipe?
Somehow its hard to trace the line. I just used a small plastic tube as vacuum attachement and let it drop inside to suck out dust.
