Found your video after a Co-coworker asked me about a repair on her family car. 03 accord V6 went to the shop because it was misfiring and down on power. Shop charged them $1500 for a new EGR, spark plugs and a valve cover gasket. Oh yeah, and an intake cleaning... Thank you for your videos!
Super helpful! My '03 Odyssey was having rough idle/stalling issues and giving me the P1399 code. I pulled the EGR valve, and saw the spring-loaded pin sticking out of the EGR port. 😆 Got a new valve and now it runs great! Funny thing is, I brought it to my local chain auto repair place and they couldn't figure it out. They wanted to bring in a guy with a mobile diagnostic station and charge me $300. I easily saved at least $500 doing it myself.

If the air intake manifold is dirty or has carbon buildup, you only use brake cleaner, rag and vacume to cleanup so that the deposits don't get into the valves? Also is there any issues placing anti-sieze onto the EGR bolt threads? Thanks
Hi. 1) IF it was dirty and you had to clean the top of the block, what exact cleaner to use? Hello. May I get your advice on the cost to replace the EGR Valve on my 2002 Accord VP sedan with 4 cyl. automatic? My dealer quoted me $270 just for the labor.
