- This is the traditional way of making earring pins from scratch. Each of these ear pins is handmade at our studio in the UK. The entire process takes up to 6 hours. It takes lots of patience and time. This video shows it in 12 minutes.
Huiyi & David are the 2 x designers/makers behind the scene. We both thank you for choosing handmade and supporting independent designers and makers.

You're the man, Huiyai Tan!
Thanks! This is the traditional way of making them.
I recently made my own wire puller.
At the 6:00 mark, I noticed a silver "scoop" type container on the left side of your counter. I have the exact same one. My mother gave it to me years ago, because she thought it was interesting. I keep business cards in it. Do you have any idea what the intended use was for that item?
Ha! That’s a very interesting question! You pay good attention to details! That thing comes with a little scoop (it’s tucked on the back of the thing and not showing in the video). I bought the whole thing from the antique market in Antwerp, Belgium back in 2019. Based on what I understand, the thing is for serving sugar cubes. The little scoop is for picking up sugar cube from the big one. Using it as a business card holder is a great idea! Mine is left there empty all the time, I haven’t found anything that I want to put in yet :)
To answer your question, it's an antique sugar server :)
@@HuiyiTan Thank you. I’ve used it for 30 years for my business cards.
@@reidsmith9575 Nice to know my sugar server has a twin somewhere in the world.
